In this episode, we’re discussing the uprise of african spirituality in black america and reflecting on christianity and its notorious link to white supremacy.

I also touch on my childhood affinities, what led me into spirituality and my upbringing in a christian household.

In this episode, I encourage you to ask yourself, how did your religious upbringing affect your values, belief system and perception?

Were they positive or negative?

Did you view african spirituality + native tradition as evil, wrong, or a source of malediction? Why?

What happens in the physical world can mimic what occurs in the spiritual world. This refers to the astrological idea that the planetary shifts may have influenced what happened in Christian stories and belief.

1. Black women can experience Impostor Syndrome due to the under-representation of black role models. Black representation contributes to a positive self-concept and belief in success.
2. Colloquial spaces for marginalized groups facilitate intellectual stimulation. Instead of adopting the 'educator' role, these discussions challenge our perspectives and hold us accountable. Black women could  benefit from learning in a similar group.
3. Affirmations are a method of subconscious reprogramming and are effective for self-worth. When we affirm our strengths, we instill trust in our abilities to succeed. As we manifest our desires, we must have confidence that we are supposed to be in that space! You have to walk with the belief that you deserve to be there!
