Welcome back to another episode! This week the crew decided to dedicate the majority of the content of this episode to black women. The crew discussed the recent and tragic passing of Oluwatoyin Salau, and responded to the recent outburst of black women expressing that they are often unheard and feel unprotected by black men. We wanted to make sure that we discussed this topic with sincerity and as thorough as we could, particularly in these trying times. From there the crew discusses the recent propositions/idea of black people receiving reparations for slavery and what they would spend their money on if it was to happen. Episode 29: Apply Pressure
We are back with another episode ! This week the crew's spirits were higher and they were ready to discuss the news and updates of the past week. First off they start with discussing their experience protesting in their community over the weekend and how impactful it felt for them to be apart of it and helping the community by handing out supplies and essentials to the protesters. From there they discuss upcoming elections and stress the importance of voting. Next they discuss Drew Brees, statements put out by major corporations in regards to the protest, and if they feel these apologies and statements were sincere and genuine or if they were for PR and marketing. From there the conversation gets heated and the tone changes a bit as the crew discusses racism vs. discrimination and what they believe those two words mean and who they apply to. Welcome back to another episode of the Everything Podcast. This week's podcast carried a heavy load but the crew was able to get through it by being open and honest with each other. There's no secret that we began this week's episode with the recent murder of George Floyd, who was killed by a Minneapolis police officer on May 25th. The nation has been in flames since his passing and the crew discusses the recent events in full and give their thoughts on the entire situation. They discuss everything from protesting, looting, to what the next steps are or should. They also discuss celebrities roles in these times of crisis and how their platforms can help, and also hurt the public & themselves in todays cancel culture.
