#8: Routine Numbers, Level 7 Vault Update, and Positive Mindset

#8: Routine Numbers, Level 7 Vault Update, and Positive Mindset

The idea behind the routine numbers is based off and article I read on "Density Training". It has really nothing to do with routine development other than adding volume. But I like the concept and it's more than likely your basic lead up and taper. I haven't decided if I will lower numbers for championship seasons or not. Every day I'm asking my athletes how they feel so we'll see. I like the thought of becoming so efficient at their routine that 6 a day wont even make them flinch. And if you can make 6 a day then one when it counts is a piece of cake.

L7 Vault update. I'm loving this vault. Plain and simple.

Positive Mindset. Our Mantra this year is from the Navy SEALS, "Feeling Good. Looking Good. Ought to be in Hollywood". It sounds silly but it's all about feeding the positivity to yourself.

#2: Training Level 7 and Learning To Stay The Longest

In todays episode I talk about non-negotiables as your working with your training 7 athletes.

- removing the fear of giants by learning to miss them
- tuck giants for confidence and speed
- creating confident flippers
- developing air awareness

I also discuss a quote that I like "Whoever is willing to stay the longest will win regardless of skill"

There's athletes and coaches that are better and more talented but by simply being patient and staying at it longer you can find yourself and your athletes on top.
