Ep. XXI Human Design - Zone of Genius with Aly Contreras
Aly Contreras is someone I consider to be a renaissance woman. I worked with her at Resonance Apothecary and found myself constantly picking her brain about Human Design. She shares the science of differentiation in such a practical and tangible way. Aly holds a degree in Journalism and is a certified Human Design reader, Psych-K facilitator, yoga teacher and level 3 Reiki practitioner.
HD is a synthesis of many disciplines including the chakra system, kabbalah, astrology and the i-ching system. It can be such a powerful tool for self-discovery and healing. In this episode we dive into the design types and how to work with our energetic signature to stay in flow with life. I hope you enjoy this episode!

Ep. XIX Elemental Magick with Lauren Ashley
Lauren Ashley, Woman of Rivers, is a spiritual coach who integrates the tarot, divination, and ancestral connection as a tool for self-development and intergenerational healing. She comes from a long lineage of healers whose legacy of service comes through in her personal and professional practice.
I had the pleasure of collaborating with Lauren on a cohort we called Elemental Magick many moons ago. This episode is sort of a condensed version of those teachings or rather I should say the recalling our intuitive knowings. We walk through each element and its correlations; seasons, rituals and their expressions in the world around us. We recorded this episode mid Summer season so hoping the energy of fire can hold us now as we walk through the depths of Winter.

Ep. XVIII Remembering Wholeness with Kalpana Arias
Kalpana Arias joins me on this episode of the Healer Series Podcast. I've been wanting to record a podcast with Kalpana for a while now because I think she's brilliant.
She is a technologist, urban greening activist, food-growing educator, writer, speaker and the founder of Nowadays On Earth, a social enterprise advocating for contact with nature in the digital age. Alongside Nowadays On Earth, Kalpana campaigns for urban nature and nature rights through urban rewilding projects and tech policy reforms, has been researching ecosomatics and technological ecologies for over 7 years, delivered a global TED talk, spoken at the United Nations and The Eden Project, and is a trustee for GROW charity. Kalpana is currently an environmental consultant for corporations and governments and works with leading charities, institutions, brands and grassroot change-makers.
Her work around advocating for contact with nature is deeply moving and inspiring to me. She explains ecosomatics, the climate crisis and technological advancement in such a forward thinking way while holding space for what's happening in the present. Kalpana asks and answers questions in a way that provoke thought and compassion while navigating toward solutions.
In this conversation we talk about:
- remembrance about tuning into the frequencies of who we are
- somatics and what it means to inhabit your body
- allowing our bodies to process through what is happening in our environment
- leaning into the growth edges of our societies transformation
- living through the climate crisis while holding polarities
- allowing the concept of being nature and also a technological evolutionary being guide one another
- tapping into our innate joy as a practice to sustain ourselves

Ep. XVII Embracing the Evolutionary Nature of Women
The Healer Series holds conversations with healers to speak about their modalities and hopefully support listeners on their path. Volume II includes conversations with some beloveds doing beautiful work, from sound healing to human design and eco-somatic practitioners.
This episode's guest is my dearest friend, Ianne Rivera. Ianne is an Embodiment Composer who works with sound to hold space to engage with sensuality for emotional exploration and pleasure liberation.
She creates audio-journeys called Sonic Rituals. Inspired by hip-hop, classical music, nature, and the feeling of timelessness, a Sonic Ritual is a healing modality that awakens and activates the inner Self that has been dormant.
In this conversation we talk about:
- Grief as love that has no place to go.
- Journeying with our body through this life.
- The preciousness and gratitude of living into mature age.
- Being guided by our hearts and surrendering the mind.
- Valuing our inner life as the most important life.
Ianne is also the creator of The Healer Series Intro Song. You can find her and her work at https://theonethread.com/ and keep up with her on Instagram @one_thread_rituals. Check out the World Pleasure Day Resources here.

Ep. XVI The Path of Enchantment
I sat down and recorded with Sabrina Nelson of Moonbeam Herbs, a fellow herbalist and esteemed practitioner whose work I resonate with deeply. At the core of her apothecary is womb wellness and menstrual cycle health support.
In this episode you'll hear about:
herbal allies for the womb, ancestral connection and liminal spaces
the responsibility that comes with herbalism
the cyclical nature of womb holders
exploring the underworld
bibliomancy with woman who runs with the wolves
I hope you enjoy two herbalists gushing over the enchantment of the natural world and the unseen realms.

Ep. XV Seen & Heard with Matthew Lane Cullen
This weeks guest is a dear old friend, actor, content creator and journalist Mr. Matthew Lane Cullen. Matt created a youtube series entitled, Our Queer Story. It documents stories in the queer community that aren't often heard. What I was drawn to most is the story telling aspect that is so necessary on our healing journeys. The importance of being witnessed by another with the knowing that healing doesn't happen in isolation. Feel free to watch the episodes here for context but please note this content warning on topics of houselessness, addiction and conversion therapy.
In this episode Matt & I discuss:
- his intention for creating the series
- curiosity as an act of relating
- the complexities and realities of the queer community
- the resilient act of transforming systemic oppression and pain into power and purpose

Ep. XIV The Portal for Life with Kristen Ciccolini
This week's episode is near and dear to my heart and womb because we're talking about the menstrual cycle and its magic! Kristen is an incredible witch, functional nutritionist and mental health educator. Her work really spoke to me in its simplicity, honoring the cycles of our body and releasing the patriarchy imposed on our bodies.
In this episode Kristen & I discuss:
- your menstrual cycle as an indicator of health
- the foundations of hormone balance
- making the practical things magickal
- herbs for the menstrual cycle

- cultivating discernment when choosing spiritual practitioners to work with
- ancestor connection and our lineage's way of preserving practices still available to us
- our collective longing for community and belonging

Ep. XII Authentic Transparency
Try out Open, a meditation, breath work and movement platform 30 days for free.
After experiencing personal harm in the “manifestation” & healing “industries," I think it's so important to cultivate discernment in working with practitioners. And in order to offer that ability to you I have to share more of myself.
In this solo episode I talk about:
my experience with free + native (aka to be magnetic) & the manifestation movement
my take on new age + main stream spirituality & its dogmatic thought
the importance of being in integrity & transparent as a healing practitioner
the harm in practicing ancient wisdoms without reverence

Ep. XI Interstellar Purpose with Mary Grace Allerdice
Mary Grace speaks about us as cosmic beings, co-creating with the cosmos and accessing our own inherent wisdom. This conversation covers a wide range of topics yet they all fall under this umbrella of wholeness, fluid balance and our intrinsic connection to the trees, the stars, the earth. As Mary Grace says…"We are extraterrestrial beings, if we're literally made of stardust and literally made of earth dust, that is our true identity. We are an interstellar phenomenon."

Ep. X The Thin Veil & Sacred Pleasure
An episode fully inspired by and in re(v)ference to Ev'yan Whitney's Sensual Self Podcast episode with Juju Bae, Intergenerational Pleasure. (In no way affiliated with.) And a pay-it-forward from Ev'yan as an offering to my ancestors and yours.
Tidbits from the episode:
- How can we tend to our altars when the veil is thinnest and maybe even look at our bodies as a walking (or living) altar?
- As soon as we're born into this world we have grief. And we don't talk about that enough.
- I have to be the one to choose my joy.
- I think there's so many ways that we can celebrate the resilience of our ancestors. And also now, in honor of that resilience tap into our pleasure & our joy more.
- Radically challenging the status quo of being in the rat race... taking our bodies and our minds out of it. How do we create boundaries for ourself that say no and then say fuck yes to the things that are our hearts are calling us to... that our vagina dances for?

Ep. IX: Mutual Aid Community Care with Samaria Marley
Samaria Marley is an herbalist, farmer, singer/songwriter and the co-founder of the DC Mutual Aid Apothecary. When I met her through my herbalist school, Well of Indigenous Wisdom, I was astounded with her gentle yet powerful presence. When I learned more about the work she was doing in DC I was so inspired and lit up. (Not to mention she also has the voice of an angel. Listen to the episode to hear her moving song, Ancestors. Seriously, even if you just skip to the middle to listen to it, its worth it. I will surely be playing it to my ofrenda on samhain.)
We talk about:
- care starting with ourselves and in our communities
- returning to ways of reciprocity
- divesting from a culture of urgency
“Being able to do mutual aid work around herbalism just lets me know that more is possible."- Samaria I hope this episode, as Samaria says, lets you know that more is possible.

In this episode, we discuss:
- the art and poetry of story telling as an Indigenous way of communicating and resonating on deeper levels
- the Indigenous wisdom of respecting the cycles of life and the relationship between ourselves and the world
- living in the duality of the westernized world and the natural world, learning how to walk between both
