Conversations with The ImisiOluwa

Ever heard of that song that says it is impossible for a butterfly to extinguish a barbecue fire? Well, that's a true saying, but..... There are truly impossible things, but only within given contexts. Seasons change, miracles happen, content changes, change happens, discoveries are made, and what seems to be impossible becomes possible.

Tradition is beautiful, and I hope our generation knows this. Understanding this beauty prevents us from using today's paracetamol for yesterday's headache, or from using yesterday's paracetamol for today's headache. Enjoy.

I should say I'm not a fan of BBN and may not be fully aware of the intricacies of the situation between Erica and Laycon, but I've followed on social media and asked a few questions from some ardent followers. Of a truth, more people than not, have been in a position where the one they want do not want them, and it hurts. And depending on our emotional maturity, our reaction will differ. I have been in his position, more than once, and I have learnt a few things.

We are often burdened by our failures, inadequacies, and inability to move past certain cycles. We are always looking for a way out-a way to beat our past records, a way to escape those evils that make our goals redundant. In our subconscious minds, we look forward to new beginnings-a new year, a new month, a new day, a new job, a new everything. It gives us hope that we can succeed this time. We even promise ourselves that we will not repeat it in this new chapter. Gradually, this becomes an addiction. We no longer focus on the specific steps to bring about our change, if we can achieve it or restrategize,  but on the euphoria that the new beginnings give. And with this, we begin the cycle again.

Prayer is such an amazing thing, yet one that has and is often misconstrued by many. This podcast narrates an experience I had and what I learned from it. It was profound. It changed my life. And it will help you too. Enjoy.
