Black Lives Matter...let's start there. 

We're back this week to take on EVERYTHING happening with our community, the cops, the government, the protests, the "riots"...and needless to say it's a heavy load. So, we got two amazing guests to help us analyze and break it all down -- diversity and inclusion expert Dr. Atira Charles (@dr_atirac) and CEO Byron Garrett (@byronvgarrett)! 

We chat George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, What's a Loot to a Riot? peaceful protests vs. breaking ish, being a Black face in the workplace while a whole "race war" rages outside, healing oneself through all this insanity, and what our "leadership" is doing while all this extra is going on.

The whole crew is back together (separately) with yet another socially-distant episode! This time we tackled the nuances of Molly vs. Issa on this season of #InsecureHBO,  discuss folks flocking to the streets to party in the sunshine despite the fact that NO ONE said The Rona was through with us yet, and take on the "new normal" of the industry. Are concerts done? Is virtual DJing here to stay? What does the mandatory distance mean for full-time photographers? Since we're all listening to live music in the comfort of our living rooms, who should be on the next #Verzuz? 

We're back at long last (blame the 'rona for the wait)! We hopped on Zoom chat for our FIFTIETH EPISODE(!!) and unfortunately had to spend most of our time tackling the elephant in the room  -- Creep-o-Palooza, men in the industry using their positions to victimize our women, and what we can do as peers to protect our sisters by holding our brothers and ourselves accountable. 

With a little input from a few of our listeners in the chatbox, we discuss everything from recognizing what coercion is (since so many men seem not to), advocating for our women, and how to effectively handle a homeboy if you think you may see him leaning toward engaging in some sketchy behavior. 

But after the heavy stuff, we get into how we've been keeping ourselves entertained and productive during this insanity, establishing new routines, and actually eat our words a little bit from the last episode. Remember way back when we were outside and didn't think this was going to be all that serious? *Sigh* 

On this edition of the podcast, we enjoy our last little bit of fresh air for the foreseeable future with daytime TV producer, host, and media personality Marco Glorious (@marcoglorious)!! This week, we're discussing all things 'Rona, the impending lockdown, what we're planning to do while we're shut-in with our loved ones, and if this is really something we're even all that shook about. Pete and Karl toe the hotep line with their theories on what COVID-19 is all about while Marco cracks open a Corona and finds out (the hard way) if there's any truth to the rumors that the beer is connected to the virus...

Later, we discuss the considerations and responsibilities Black creators have when making content about our people for mainstream audiences. Does mindless entertainment like gossip and reality TV really shape how we're seen in society?? That said...which reality shows are our guilty pleasures? 

This week, we're basking in Black Girl Magic with YouTube superstar, beauty influencer, Black women's advocate, and Brooklynite, Eloho!! She and the Crew dive right in on Black men and our (trash?) opinions on Black women's various hair choices, discuss who's really butthurt about interracial dating -- do Black men actually treat nonblack women better than their own? -- and Eloho schools the guys on what exactly hypergamy is and why Black American women need to focus on it when planning their families and futures. 

We also hop into the viral debate of Rolexes vs. rental properties -- which one is the better birthday gift?? 

We're kicking off Women's History Month strong with self-made CEO, marketing expert, boutique owner, and digital creator, Kelly Augustine B.!! This week, Kelly and the Crew discuss why everyone wants to toss their two cents in about Dwyane Wade and his "new" daughter Zaya,  debate whether or not Lizzo is actually 100% that b*tch, then talk about what it takes to build your personal brand, the nuances of self-managing and self-marketing, and the fine art of influence.
