Adult Gymnastics (How to Return and Start) | Andrew Cordery | The Movement Therapy Podcast | #04
Andrew is the director of Alpha Gymnastics, a small gymnastics club operating out of Ascot Park Primary School in which he runs both kids and adult gymnastics programs.
Andrew has completed Bachelor's degrees in Education and Applied Science and is an Advanced Silver Gymnastics Coach. He is also an internationally accredited MAG (Men's Artistic Gymnastics) judge and has attended the World Championships (2013) and Youth Olympic Games (2014) and Commonwealth Games (2018).
Andrew was introduced to gymnastics at a small recreational club just outside of Brisbane and knew this was the sport for him when he saw the 1994 World Championships in his hometown. As a competitor, Andrew represented Queensland at 5 National Championships and Australia in the Trans-Tasman Challenge against New Zealand. He finished his competitive career to take up a full-time teaching position.
Andrew began coaching and judging gymnastics in the late 90’s to give back to the sport he loved. He has presented gymnastics courses in both Queensland and South Australia and has worked with teachers and sporting clubs to spread the benefits of gymnastics to a broader audience.
Andrew has a passion to see people being active and believes physical activity should be something you enjoy. Everybody can benefit from a gymnastics program. Inspiring children to be active from a young age will help them lead healthy active lives as adults and adults can reclaim their youth and reach fitness goals they may not have thought possible.

Preventing Sports Injuries | Miroslav Miki Trbovic | The Movement Therapy Podcast | #03
In the third episode of The Movement Therapy Podcast, I speak with the Owner of Australian Atheltic Centre (Adelaide) and Exercise Physiologist Miroslav Miki Trbovic.
Having worked at various private gyms and sporting organisations early in his career, including Norwood FC of the SANFL, Miki knew athletes and coaches across Adelaide deserved better.
Too long had optimal rehabilitation and S&C services only been accessible to athletes at the top level.
Miki started AAC in 2017 with the vision of creating an environment for athletes to the get the most out of their performance.
What began as a small handful of aspiring athletes and coaches has turned into a not so little AAC community with athletes competing locally, nationally and across the globe. This is only just the beginning!

Habit Stacking for Diet and Exercise | Chris Sedsy Seddon | The Movement Therapy Podcast | #02
In this episode I speak with Adelaide based PT Chris Sedsy Seddon.
A competitive bodybuilder (Men's Physique) and powerlifter who as a teenager, had always aspired to become a musician or join the fitness industry.
Chris, who was always active in team sports, found a love for resistance training and bodybuilding aged just shy of 17.
Tragedy and grief struck around this time which led to a downward spiral in Chris' mental health - this is where the importance of music and fitness in his life became clear.
Chris found that there was so much uninformed 'bro-science' and misinformation out there regarding training & nutrition. And so through trial & error he figured out what was safe, what worked, and what would end up causing him serious injury or metabolic damage.
Some years later Chris would finally enter the health & fitness industry as a personal trainer on a mission to spread a positive message and education on movement, mindfulness & nutrition.
This passion lead to becoming accredited as a Sports Nutritionist to widen his scope to facilitate change through nutritional interventions and mindset/behaviour coaching - the areas which he believes have the greatest potential to deliver value.
