The 4 Pillars Of Success In Football: How I Became A Talentless Professional
In this episode, Andrew Moullin discusses the four pillars of becoming a professional in any field. He emphasizes the importance of mentality, fitness, tactics, and technique. He explains that mentality is the foundation and requires aligning your mindset with your goals, having the confidence to apply what you learn, and persevering through challenges. Fitness is about building your mind and body together, focusing on the specific physical abilities needed for your goal. Tactics involve understanding your role within the team and how your team plays. Finally, technique is the last pillar and should be sharpened after developing the other three pillars.

Unlocking Peak Performance: The Power of Intrinsic Motivation and Habit Formation for Athletes With Heath Martin

The podcast discusses the two types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation is defined by three subgroups: mastery, autonomy, and purpose. Tapping into these subgroups can lead to improved engagement, creativity, and prevention of burnout. Studies show that athletes who rely more on intrinsic motivation are more consistent in their motivation. Creating habits out of motivation can help to make good decisions without thinking and create a lifestyle of improvement. The overjustification effect suggests that the introduction and subsequent lessening of external rewards can affect a person's internal desire to perform a task. The speaker is creating a program that encapsulates these concepts.

Q&A: How To Beat Laziness, I Did 1000 Pushups A Day, The Compound Effect (The Secret No One Has Told You About)
Free Video Analysis Training w/ Andrew: https://bit.ly/VAK-free-training
In this episode, I share my personal experiences and tips for beating laziness and achieving challenging goals. I talk about how I challenged myself to do 1000 push-ups in a day and how achieving that goal helped me push my boundaries and develop a new sense of what I was capable of.
I also discuss the importance of consistency and how small, consistent efforts can compound over time to produce significant results. I share my thoughts on delayed gratification and how delaying rewards until after the work is done can help with motivation and prevent laziness from taking over.
Throughout the episode, I answer some common questions about motivation and goal-setting and provide practical advice for anyone looking to push themselves and achieve their own goals. Whether you're an athlete, a student, or just someone looking to improve yourself, I hope this episode inspires and motivates you to push past your limits and achieve your full potential.

Connor grew up in St. Louis, a Soccer Hub here in the United States, and amazingly enough he fell in love with Goalkeeping straight away. He later went on to play at Creighton University and got drafted to Real Salt Lake as the 65th overall pick in 2016. He bounced around a few teams before landing where he is now, Miami. I asked Connor a lot about goalkeeping, but most importantly tried to get into the mind of a seasoned Veteran and a consummate professional.

The Offside Podcast: Episode 15│Day in the life of a soccer agent w/ Nathaniel Leader
Have you been trying to go pro? Have you tried looking for an agent?
The truth about becoming a pro is that it is very very difficult and you are unlikely to find a team that wants you or needs you. You need to understand what they are looking for and who better to know what that is than an agent?
You may have heard a lot of amazing things about agents. How they can get you sponsorships and deals worth millions of dollars! What about REAL agents? How many have you talked to or networked with? What do they actually do on a day to day basis?
Nate Leader, CEO of LSMG, a global agency with multiple high profile players that you will know the names of in the future! Worked with the likes of FC Porto to scout here in the US and abroad for new upcoming players. He discusses with me how he identifies players and in particular goalkeepers. We also talk about parents and how they play a huge role in player development for positive and negative reasons.

The Offside Soccer Podcast │Episode 8: How Do You Measure Success?
Sitting down with a coach that has coached US Youth National Teams, traveling the world with players like Landon Donovan, Demarcus Beasley, and Eddie Johnson to name a few, is always an honor for someone like myself. It helps that that coach is your father.
In this episode of The Offside Podcast we break down some big questions that I have had as a coach and as a player. As I look back on my life and my career I see some things that my dad has warned or talked to me about that saved me big time. We tackle questions about college as well as the pro game.
If you want to go to the next level, where ever that is for you, this is a great podcast to tune into. If you are a coach or a parent this is going to be a super insightful episode into the dos and the don'ts of one of the most successful coaches in the US College and Club game. Hope you enjoy!

There Is More To Life Than Soccer: Sitting Down With Former MLS Pro Daniel Johnson
Thank you guys so much for coming back onto the podcast! This episode was a cracker and I had one of my best friends on, Daniel Johnson. DJ played with me when I was 10-12 Years Old and we have been friends ever since. DJ went on to play at West Ham for 3 years. Was on track for a Pro contract with the mighty hammers, but due to work permit and visa issues he was left out of contract. He returned to the US and went to college at University of Maryland. After a disappointing, by his standards, he decided that he needed to make a change and get more playing time! He decided to transfer to University of Louisville. This turned out to be an amazing choice and he was given the opportunity to attend the MLS Combine. At the combine scouts and coaches raved about his nearly FLAWLESS performances and he was drafted by the Chicago Fire with the number 11 overall pick in 2017. It was a difficult road, starting with great promise, but quickly understanding that there was a lot more that goes into this game than just talent alone he decided to make a move. DJ made a transfer to Championship side Birmingham Legion in 2019 and began to find his form again. However, as I have said on this podcast, there is more to life than just soccer. You must be able to know yourself and the things you find important in life. DJ hung up the boots, at least for now, in 2020. In the podcast we discuss the importance of developing skills that not only help your game, but more importantly improve and enrich your life DJ is not a man of many projects from fashion to video analysis, my boy does it all!
