The proof is in the title. Systems, quit literally save your self time, energy, and money! I am very passionate about helping black entrepreneurs enjoy the fruits of their labor by implementing systems in their business so it can run without them. In this short episode, I break down how and when to create systems in your business. This is part three of the Pivot 2 Profit Framework! Download my latest guidebook 'How to go from an overwhelmed entrepreneur to an aligned one.'
STAR Strategy
Now that we have discussed mindset and gotten clear on what we want we must plan. Understand that the plan might change but you still need to know where you are going. In the age of modern GPS, I sometimes have the option of getting rerouted when there is an accident ahead or road closure. However, when I started I knew my destination. Strategies help guide our journey and decrease our overwhelm or anxiety about it. This is part two of the Pivot 2 Profit Framework! Download my latest guidebook 'How to go from an overwhelmed entrepreneur to an aligned one.'
Mindset Over Matter
Before we make any big shift in our personal and business life we must get our mindset in order. In this episode, I dig into the importance of doing the internal work first and how to do it without overwhelming yourself. This is part one of the Pivot 2 Profit Framework! Pivot 2 Profit: Systems & Implementation
In the 4th installment of the Pivot 2 Profit Series, I discuss how to make it work without getting burnout. I started the entire Pivot 2 Profit Series because I found that Black entrepreneurs were burning the candle from both ends. They were nervous to delegate tasks in their business and were unsure of what exactly to delegate. Systems save you time, energy, and money. They help you enjoy the best parts of your professional and personal life. This episode is for you if you know what you want and need to do but you don't know HOW! We have all been there before. It's an exciting place to be because at first, you didn't know where you were going.
Don't let the lack of 'how-to' overwhelm you. Remember how we eat an elephant? If you don't check out the Strategy podcast and blog. Pivot 2 Profit: Strategy
In the 3rd installment of the Pivot 2 Profit Series, I discuss the importance of having a strategy. Most black entrepreneurs bootstrap their business. Not only do we bootstrap but we are usually thrust into entrepreneurship by necessity. The necessity for time or money of not both. I dive into the best time to implement a strategy, the need for one, and the blueprint to actually create one.
Don't let the word STRATEGY overwhelm you. It's honestly the key to unlocking your next level of business and life. I am here to help support you as you implement a strategy that is authentic to your goals & path of life. Make sure to download the Pivot 2 Profit Formula on my website www.imaniinspires.com and learn more about the Pivot 2 Profit 1-1 Accelerator www.imaniinspires.com/pivot2profit
Pivot 2 Profit: Customer Journey
I have been obsessed with the customer experience since I was in middle school. In this episode, I talk about how I first started solving problems of consumers all before high school. Often times as entrepreneurs we don't think about how the journey of our customers makes or breaks our businesses. It's more than the customer is always right. Truly it's about identifying what your customer struggles with both within and outside your area of expertise.
In the second installment of the Pivot 2 Profit series, I break down the beauty of aligning the goals of your customers with your own. I also go in-depth about mapping the customer journey and using that as the blueprint for finding the gaps in your business. This is the longest episode of the series because it is one of my favorite topics.

Quarantine Edition: Fundamentals of Doula care & changing your birth plan amid COVID 19
Education is power and can truly save lives. Black women are dying at disproportionate rates during labor and delivery as well as unnecessary c-sections. It is time we educate ourselves and each other. Not everyone knows what a Doula is and many think it's a new thing. Some have heard of a Doula and think it is out of reach to them. Doulas are a mother's advocate before, during and after labor.
In this episode, I have a very informative conversation about giving birth during a pandemic with my friend & family, Raven Dorsey. This is a great episode for women expecting and the village that supports them. It's time we know the options we have available to us.
Quarantine Edition: Millennials, Corona & Politics
I'll get straight to the point. We cannot have a repeat of the 2016 election we must get out there and VOTE!!! As millennials, we have an important role to play. Yes, voting impacts our current lives but more importantly it impacts older and future generations. The political landscape has changed due to technology and diversity. This is the first year that Pennsylvania residents can vote totally by MAIL! And I don't mean absentee ballot. In the past, with voting Absentee ballot you had to have an excuse.
In this episode, I set down with my friend Brittany who is a millennial political activist. She has worked on campaigns in Philadelphia as well as political action committees. Brittany has done great work in the community and now works with an organization called Black Voters Matter. Follow Brittany and all the great work she does on Instagram here.

Mental Health in the Black Millennial Community
In this episode, I sit down with Reverend Will Martin, Assistant Pastor of Visitation at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. We discuss how to identify if you need professional help, how to deal with others who are dealing with a mental health crisis. We talk about everything mental health. Especially what it means to be young, Christian and black. Whew! This one gets deep. This episode is packed with resources! It's just time for all of us to heal and help heal each other. One of my favorite things about this episode is that we discuss the language around mental health and how to be sensitive about the topic.
