It's true. I've been away, but I'm back with a brand new album, The Year of Lost and Found: A Pand'opera!
It was written during lockdown and clocks in at a whopping 22 minutes. The songs range from funny to moody, and I'm really proud of it.
In this episode, I preview 3 tunes from the album, and throw in one written with my longtime collaborator, Byron Isaacs from The Lumineers.

After his wife Anne received a terminal cancer diagnosis, David and his son Kenji created and played music together in the room directly below Anne’s bedroom throughout the months leading up to her passing.

In the first episode of this shorter "snack" series, I expand on a songwriting tip from my first podcast guest, Blake Lewis. The tidbit? Be your authentic self. Easy to say, harder to do!
