This week’s episode features fellow development economist, Jabulile Mpanza. Jabu started out in management consulting and later pivoted into the health and insurance corporate space. She is the founder of Hadithi Wethu, a reading mentorship programme that aims to expose Black youth to African literature. In our conversation, Jabu talks about her dynamic process of learning what it is she wants to do in her career, and how being an avid reading has shaped her views on the importance of constantly evolving. She touches on the privilege of self-actualising in an ever-changing work landscape, the importance of having sponsors in the workplace, and more. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. I hope you do too.

S2E1 - #ThatCandidCoach

Welcome to Season 2! It has been exactly a year since the first episode dropped last July and I am so excited to be back in conversation with another group of Inspiring women.

On this first episode, I wanted to kick things off by speaking to someone who provides career advice and guidance. So I asked around on instagram if anyone knew of a career advisor and I was told check out Ceejay Ndlovu (@ThatCandidCoach on IG). Ceejay is a marketer with a passion to help people. She has worked across multiple industries including financial services (Johannesburg Stock Exchange), professional services (Ernst & Young), and the start-up space (Uber, What3Words). She is currently the Head of Marketing at Zulzi. In addition to her 9 to 5, she also guides millennials towards building their careers, finding their purpose, self-love, and how to master relationships.

I would love to hear from you on Instagram @theuntitledshero and on Twitter @UntitledShero .
