On this weeks episode, Britton takes us through her journey from the very beginning. Growing up in Virginia, Wilson started off as a gymnast /dancer following her sisters footsteps. As soon as she shifted to track and field she learned the benefits of taking the sport serious. Last season wilson had a break out season, including becoming the first athlete to ever win the 400m and 400mh at the Southern Eastern Conference (SEC) Championships, World Championship God Medal etc…. On this weeks episode, Sydney takes us back through her entire journey from the very beginning. Born and raised in New Jersey, McLaughlin easily fell in love with freedom our sport provides. “I always had hope that this would happen, but I didn’t think it would be like this,” she answered viewing her career as a kid. At the age of 17 Sydney made her first appearance in the 2016 Olympic Games. With that experience 4 years later she takes home two Olympic gold medals along with her second world record. Sydney not only is inspiring on the track, her spiritual journey is just as moving. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is the first women to ever break 51 seconds in the 400mh, breaking her own world record 4 times over 13 months. On this week’s episode we started where it all began in Windfield City, Alabama. Trey broke the U20 World Record being the first high school athlete to run under 7.50 in 60mh. With many options to go pro, Trey decided it was best to go to college. He shares with us the struggles he faced during his transition into the NCAA.
