Design and mental health (part three)
A collab featuring Phyllis Wanja,a mental health advocate and founder of Afyakili, drops some wisdom and shares tips on how we can handle mental issues we deal with day to day as designers. It is a hot one.
Design and mental health (part two)
To be honest, I'm not fine sometimes, even when the world thinks I am. Sometimes, I feel like I am on top of the world, at other times, I feel like I am breathing under water. I recognize that I may lie to other people that I'm fine, but let me not lie to myself. Self awareness, self forgiveness, patience and empathy are things gifts we need to exercise by ourselves and for ourselves before we extend the same to others.
In this episode, I'll be sharing my personal mental struggles and how I'm taking it a step a time.
I also want to remind you that you are not alone, we are in this together. Incase you want to talk, hit me up at tifftawarar@gmail.com.
N:B: Whatever I share or advice does not constitute as professional medical advice, but my point of view on matters. Incase you need help, contact your nearest medical facility on how to proceed.
I wish you peace of mind, serenity, courage and positive mental health growth. Keep working on your inner you and become the designer this world needs.
And know that you are so worth it boo. Always...
