Mariam Ragab
Mariam is a Computer Science graduate with a minor in Social Justice and Inequality. She is also a Schulich Scholar and has won multiple awards including, the 2020 Leading innovators and the 3M National Student Fellowship. Mariam completed multiple work terms as a research assistant, namely at the C.D Howe Institute and the bank of Canada. She is now working for a start-up based in San Diego, focusing on data and fintech.
What I wish I knew in First Year: Using Resources at Dal
In this episode Eniola chats with Eptehal, Richard and Wendy about accessing and using resources available to students at Dalhousie. They each talk about their own experiences, what resources they wish they knew about sooner, and why students should use resources available to them to make the most of their student experience. From the Career and Co-op advising to International Centre and student societies, hear first hand advice from these senior students.

Blake, Anna and Ernest discuss their experiences, and what wish they had known sooner about life at Dal and in Halifax, from how to explore their interests, to where to study or explore, and how they learned to create better balance in their University lives.

Arad Gharagozli
Arad is currently pursing his Masters of Science in mechanical engineering at Dalhousie university; focusing on electronics systems and artificial intelligence in space. Throughout his academic career, Arad has led several innovative projects such SpaceX Hyperloop and Dalhousie Space systems lab. Arad established the Dalhousie Space Systems Lab (DSS) in 2017, an organization aimed to develop electrical and mechanical systems for space applications and low orbit satellites. Arad recently launched his space venture GALAXIA Mission System, a hardware and software company that develops AI optimized computers for satellites and spaceborne intelligence and reconnaissance software.
Sean Wang
Sean is a 1st-year MD student at Dalhousie University, the director of HRM academics, and a part-time worker at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Atlantic. Sean is extensively involved in Dal student societies, community engagement, and research. In this episode, we delve deeper into his experiences.

Yaser Alkayale
Yaser is a Syrian Canadian graduate of Dalhousie University. He was a founding software engineering member of Azure Data Share at Microsoft and is currently working on Instagram building products to help small businesses get to financial success. He is also a multi-award winner at Dal and the founder of multiple Dal societies (Dal Entrepreneurship Society & Dal Syrian Society).
