Alesha is a resident of the Dream Center in Los Angeles. She’s a Navy veteran, hair stylist, surgical tech student, and a relentless dreamer. I hope you are inspired by her story and encouraged to live everyday with the positive outlook and anticipation she exudes so well.

If there ever was a perfect example of someone who has "Kaleidoscope Eyes" - Mr. Lonnie would be it. The day I met him is one I will never forget. I hope his story brightens your life as much as it did mine.

Skye LeMay is a bright splash of color, joy, and LOVE. She is extraordinary in every way and all of her friends and family know it. She is so treasured by her community that they decided to crown her the homecoming queen of her high school this year. Fun Fact: Skye is also rocking that extra chromosome flow called Down Syndrome - and in this episode, we get to learn more about her life, her passions, dreams, boy crushes, and more. We also get to hear from her WONDER WOMAN mom, Mrs. Tammy, who shares about the beautiful journey of their life together - along with powerful advice and words of wisdom for everyone.

I'm the person who would rather clean a toilet than cook a meal. (God bless my poor husband.) So dining out is certainly a luxury I enjoy. I'm not gonna lie though, after a long day and being hangry, diabetic, and pregnant - it's easy for me to let those who wait on us fade into the background and even be critical of the way they do their job. I started to think about how these people are often working their tales off, being taken little notice of, and being given a LOT of flack when I just wanna be petty. I invited my buddy, Aisa, to give us the inside scoop - things we may not be aware of, simple ways to make the job easier, and ways we can engage that are simple and meaningful in valuing those who are serving us so well. #ThankfulToSitOnMyButtAndEat

In this episode, one of my most treasured friends - Lauren Swain -shares her story, her victory over addiction, her love life, and together we walk through a "race consultation". She opens up about pieces of her journey and what it's like being an African-American Woman in todays world. Raised with a narrative of dignity and pride for her heritage, Lauren's foundation was rooted in Christ. Along the way, she experienced bullying, racial slurs, demeaning comments, and other things that someone of a different color (like me) may not even realize is a common occurrence in others' daily lives. But for each "depth", Lauren has allowed God to exchange her pain for new heights and is using her voice to make a difference. Her passion is to celebrate humanity, to value each persons individual story, and see the world work in harmony - just as it is in Heaven.
