12. 7 Lessons I've learnt in 3 years of SWE

I started my career in 2020 as a technical developer, it's been 3 fulfilling years as a software developer. I've been told that these are the peak years of my career, and as I plan for these new peak years, I thought it wise to look back on the lessons I've learnt during these times, and how this knowledge can better equip me moving forwards.

I know the lessons here will prove valuable to you.

00.Software Engineering isn't all that

00.Software Engineering isn't all that

A career in software engineering is one of the top 10 most desirable careers right now with an entry level software engineer being able to earn as much as 60k USD per annum. However, it might be a little overhyped though, and maybe some facts about this career path are not getting enough screen time as they should.

Join me as I divulge spill some tea about the not so glamorous bits of this career path.

If you hang around long enough, my rooster also makes a guest appearance 😅
