Hello everyone! I know I have been gone for a minute but welcome back to another episode of Travel, Pray, and Slay. It is officially summer and you all haven’t heard from me since Spring. In this episode, I wanted to check in, share why you haven’t heard from me in a while, and talk about what the future holds.

Welcome back for another episode. Today I am going to keep it short and cute but very informative. The next couple of episodes will be all about my favorite travel destinations. They will give you a little more detail on some specific things you can do at these locations. The first destination I am going to talk about is Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I share my four go-to places that you must visit when traveling to Cabo.

I am super excited about this podcast episode and my guest today, Maryssa Salomon of Travel Trunk. Welcome back for another solo episode of Travel, Pray, Slay. I am fresh from vacation and my first trip of 2022. I took an adult Spring Break 10-day trip to Chicago, Charleston, and then Savannah.

Charleston and Savannah, better known as the Lowcountry, have been on my list for a while. I love the south and all things old school and vintage. Charleston and Savannah are both coastal cities. So, if you are thinking about going to the low country, I wanted to share my insights on what you should do and where you should go, because I had a great time!

Happy February and Happy Black History Month! I hope your 2022 is off to a great start.  I wanted to take this podcast episode and get a little more personal and share with you some lessons learned after recently undergoing surgery.

My hope for this podcast is that if you have gone through a situation like mine or you are experiencing loss, burnout or stress, that you can draw some inspiration from the lessons that I have been learning.

Welcome to 2022! We all survived and made it! It is a new year and that always brings about a time to reflect, refocus, and set new goals.

Did you meet all of the goals or New Year’s resolutions that you set last year? Given the year we have had it is okay if you didn’t this past year.  While we are still in these tough times it is still okay to have hope for what a new year brings and know that you can accomplish the goals that you set. Today’s episode is all about self-care.  As we are entering the fall season, so many are dealing with seasonal depression, work burn out, and slowly returning to the office while some of us are still working from home.  Most people are just really over the pandemic and we are all feeling fatigued, so it is important for us to step up our self-care routine.

It is so good to be back with you after my six-week break.  During those six weeks, I traveled to Jamaica and then just needed some extra time to rest and recharge. I hope you enjoyed the past few weeks and some of our favorite throwback episodes. I am excited for more solo and guest interviews coming your way soon.

I recently returned from my first official trip of the summer and I went to Miami Beach.  In this episode, I am going to recap my trip to Miami Beach in a post-vaccinated world. This podcast episode is very personal, transparent, and reflective.  This month is the year anniversary of the global pandemic of COVID-19 and the year 2020 that changed all of our lives.  As I am reflecting back on where I was at this time last year, it has really brought up for me a lot of the lessons I have learned in 2020 and especially the positive things that came out of the year.

When I think about where I was this time last year, it was pretty crazy.  It was around this time last year that the city started to shut down and it was one of the last weekends that I was getting together with friends.  A week later everything started to change.
