Relationship with Nature | Hungarian Sundance
"Life is a miracle. It is worth seeing this miracle, recognizing it in ourselves and then our days are spent in the radiance of the Sun, in the light of God, on the path of Love."
Hungarian Wisdom Keeper Zoltán Sólyomfi-Nagy is a teacher, ethnographer, cultural anthropologist, poet, composer, old singer, drummer and rattle maker. His research on European and Hungarian traditions and his explorations and encounters with other Native Peoples brought him to revive, among others, Solstice Traditions such as the Hungarian Sundance.
The full talk is available here, which includes additional explanations about the local sweat lodge tradition (cserga), the writings which describe these ancient traditions and more on the philosophy of the solstice, not being a fight of light over darkness.
Zoltán is the founder of the TENGRI Community, which is a community of people who want to get to know, preserve, practice and pass on the original Hungarian spirit and worldview. http://tengri.hu/

Midwifery | Life, Death and Blood
Traditional childbirth as it is practised in the high mountains of the Columbian Andes is intertwined with the pleasure of the woman and the powers of blood whereby the placenta brings us the knowledge with advice, (his)story, song and dance. We speak with Sara Barbosa and Ramiro Partera from the Muisca Peoples about Pleasure as the path to knowledge and how they both got into midwifery. Through the Mujeres Bachua foundation and the schools in Latin America (https://escuelahuytaca.co/2021/), they bring this ancient teaching to our modern lives and hope more midwives will follow this path.
Listen to the full interview here in English and Spanish, which elaborates on the violence around blood and the effects on Mother Nature, on the feminine connection to God with our lips, on intersexuality and addressing the connection to the first and last breath and the role of midwives during both these passages.

Storytelling | Leadership and Decision Making
Stroytelling | We are all Story Beings
In today's episode, Japanese Storyteller and Nature Farmer Norihiro Terazawa, or Terra, is interviewed by Poornashri Kandade, about how he got into storytelling, originating from the Japanese traditional storytelling on TV, to exploring the power of words and sound. According to Terra, storytelling is a way to learn more about your life, through the archetypes of the story. It also connects and bonds people and "stories can be an archetype so that we can keep on learning and we keep on coming back to get the essence". He encourages people to open up to storytelling as a self-healing tool.
Terra currently lives in The Hague, The Netherlands and is active as a storytelling teacher and healer for individuals and businesses. (https://about.me/terra-norihiroterazawa)

Natural Farming | Adivasi Farming & Nature
"Our role is not to change Nature, but to understand it". Saurabh Chaudhari is on a mission to help Nature restore itself. He dedicates his life to (re)introduce traditional, organic and natural farming practices with farmers in Gujurat, India. Saurabh belongs to the Bhil tribe, one of the largest Adivasi Peoples (also referred to as Indigenous or Tribal). Listening to his wise words, one would perhaps not expect a young man. Though English is not his native language, his statements are profound and even poetic. While most of his time is actually on the field, his organisation Nature Ops has a web page, which includes several ways of engagement and support.

Natural Farming | Italy's Indigenous Sharecroppers
In Italy's Marche Region, the Aborigeni Mezzadri have practised regenerative farming for 1000s of years. Laura Melloni passionately tells us their story and how she discovered that the trendy principles of #CircularEconomy and #SystemsThinking were daily life for these sharecropping farmers. They lived a sober yet fulfilling life, taking only what was needed and keeping the surrounding nature and resources in complete balance, for it to thrive and maintain its vast biodiversity.
"La terra è potente, è vita, la terra è stata tutto per noi mezzadri” ("The earth is powerful, it is life, the earth has been everything for us sharecroppers")
