Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Harry Potter RPG Leak and More
In last week's podcast notes, I mentioned that we had been tossing around the idea of switching from a solely TA focussed podcast to a TGN podcast, where we can discuss and debate all of the latest news and games from both Xbox and PlayStation. Thankfully, the feedback was positive, and so this week, we'd like to introduce you to the very first episode of the TGN podcast!
Joining me on this week's show are Ollie and Sam, as we share out thoughts on the newly released Assassin's Creed Odyssey and discuss what could be next for Ubisoft's long-running franchise, discuss the leaked Harry Potter RPG footage, marvel at the latest Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer, and look at what's now available for free in October's Games with Gold and PS Plus offerings. We also, give you the chance to win an Xbox One came code (leave us a comment in the thread below to enter), discuss this week's ID@Xbox streams, and answer your questions, including the question of the week.

TT Podcast Episode 61
We're back, though this episode is a little bit dated now. Who wants to talk about Netflix and gaming!? These guys do! Other mainstays also make an appearance throughout, however, so there will be some comforting news.
Final Fantasy XV will be getting a Royal Edition with several enhancements, including a boat you can pilot and new areas to explore, but base game owners will have to pay for these upgrades. Destiny 2 has been lying to you again, this time about what you can expect from the Faction Rally rewards, which have been stripped back since last season. The release date for God of War is finally here, and it promises to be pretty trippy.
That's just the peasant version of your Dragon Age "Living", not-amiibo-but-totally-amiibo-ing, Games Pass impact discussing Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 60
This week, we didn't have a lot to work with... or did we? In place of news, we discussed the upcoming games for 2018! What are you excited for?
So what is there for news? Sony sold a fair number of consoles for the Holidays, and reached more than 73 million units lifetime. PSVR also sold pretty well this year, bringing that above 2 million units. But what about the games, you ask? Well, Sony has also revealed the best selling games on PSN for 2017.
Those are just the LYs for this forward facing, KINGDOM HEARTS III doubting, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch skipping (bad gamer!) Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 59
This week, there's a lot of award talk to be had. The Video Game Awards have come and gone, as has PSX, and that's only the beginning of the news.
Bungie has messed up several things over the past couple of weeks; they are setting out to fix these issues, but is it enough? Capcom is winning on the other end of the spectrum by revealing that Mega Man 11 is in development as is a Mega Man X collection. Shawn Layden has finally spilled the beans about some progress being made towards PSN name changes with the hope that by this time next year, we'll be having a different conversation.
That's just the pre-show showcase to this episode of your invisible people fearing, history staging, twice dying TrophyTalk Podcast.
TT Podcast Episode 58
We've about had it with these video game companies, what with the loot boxes and the disingenuous experience reporting. What about you?
The time has finally come for Demon's Souls to die its last death, of a sort, as servers will soon be taken down for the online components of the game. Governments are finally coming down on the various shenanigans in loot boxes with the UK government putting its foot down that loot boxes are NOT gambling (surprise, surprise). It seems Bungie may not have been entirely on the up-and-up with how XP was being shown in Destiny 2, and while they are taking steps to fix this, they also seem to have changed how much XP is needed to earn Bright Engrams.
That's just the filibuster of this edition of your poorly regulated, invisible mathing, Sanic goofing Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 57
This week, Ace and Prince fly duo without and get down to brass tacks on Holiday gifting expectations! Be sure to let us know in the comments what you're hoping for/expecting.
If trophies have ever felt like work, Sony has heard your cry and will be incentivizing your trophy hunting with rewards points (make sure you enroll). It seems Disney may have heard millions of people cry out at once over the loot box situation with Star Wars Battlefront II and has moved to silence them. The Valkyria series is feeling pretty healthy as Valkyria Chronicles 4 has been announced.
This is just the star on top of your microtransaction milking, Dante nerfing, Community Challengeprepping Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 56
This week's episode is a slimmed down, content-rich version of the podcast you know and love. You can expect we'll return to the traditional format next week.
Sony has revealed that it is producing a new Mini PS4 Controller designed for children that forgoes the touchpad and trims about 40% of the controller. Destiny 2's Trails of the Nine will be offline for the next couple of weeks while they work out a fix for a nasty bug. LEGO Dimensions has officially been canceled, so make sure not to sleep on anything you've got your eye on. There will be a PlayStation Showcase at Paris Games Week, but make sure to tune in for the pre-show as Sony seems to be following the E3 format from earlier this year which contained trailers and release information for quite a few games.
That's just the Tuesday to this week's Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Friday launching, Assassin's Creed Origins Friday launching, Super Mario Odyssey Friday launching (jeez!) Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 55
It was a heavy week for video game news, especially this time of year, but the guys do their best to liven things up with some attempts at voice acting. Remember to tell us which character you'd be best at voicing!
Sony is planning to publish games on Switch and PC as well as PS4 under a new label, Unties. From there, it goes downhill fast. EA is closing Visceral, the team currently working on the single-player Star Wars game. Activision has a patent about using matchmaking to pair people together specifically with the goal of encouraging microtransactions. The ESRB doesn't consider loot crates gambling, but OpenCritic thinks we need to start being more transparent about this kind of thing.
That's just the first step in this flow-charting, pie having, gravel eating, Metal Gear-ing Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 54
Remember that game with the loot boxes? Oh yeah, that's all of them. Brandon goes on a spirited rant while Prince stays calm.
It looks like Bethesda is now sending out early review copies to outlets again. Assassin's Creed Origins is going to be getting difficulty levels for the first time in the series, which comes as a surprise to the guys despite the early indicators. Andrew House is stepping down from his role as President of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
That's only the first planet in this planet hopping, hay bail infiltrating, Orc stabbing Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 53
Have trophies ever ruined a gameplay experience for you? We're about to get almost healthy about maybe being not so healthy in our trophy habits.
If you're a fan of voice actors, you'll be pleased to know that the SAG-AFTRA strike looks to be heading to a close, with both parties reaching a tentative agreement that will be voted on later this year. Volition, the team behind the Saints Row Series, appears to have been hit with layoffs on the back of the release of Agents of Mayhem. If you've ever been interested in taking a tour through ancient Egypt, it looks like Assassin's Creed Origins has you covered.
That's just your warm-up session for this edition of your cable streamlining, perfect-run-perfecting, super-star returning Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 52
Stop us if you've heard this one before. You just downloaded this hot new game, probably a long RPG of some kind. You take a look at the trophy list... and you need to complete this game four times. plinkit thinks that's crap, too.
If you wanted to get into VR, your time could be soon depending on your circumstances, as Sony is reducing the price of one bundle and adding a camera to another. WB is leveraging Middle-earth: Shadow of War DLC to benefit the family of a developer who succumbed to cancer, but they are doing a terrible job of communicating exactly how it works. For those who want to get in on the PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds action, but don't have a PC, Grand Theft Auto V may have you covered to a small degree with the inclusion of a new game mode.
That's just the mysterious rumor of this episode of your Uncharted crushing, inFamous repping, crystal eschewing Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 51
This week is a slow week, so the team falls into discussing the semantics of what constitutes an RPG and how it's been a good year for them.
For those that just want to have a good time, Horizon: Zero Dawn has released the counter point to Ultra Hard mode in the form of Story Mode. Unfortunately for fans of Mass Effect: Andromeda, it seems that there will be no more single-player content or patches, but more multiplayer content is on the way, and story threads may get sorted out in the form of comics or novels. And who doesn't love a good set of NPD numbers to pour over?
Those are just the top trophies from this edition of your interacting, story telling, brisk speaking Trophy Talk Podcast!

TT Podcast Episode 50
This week, the team discusses the intricacies of account systems, and then promptly falls down several rabbit holes. We hope you like discussing name changes and remasters!
We've got the details on PS4 Firmware update 5.0, and there's a lot of little things going on from parental controls to surround sound in VR to notification improvements. Sony has also revealed that time and date for its Paris Games Week showcase, but very little is known, so we speculate instead. There's a strong possibility that OKAMI HD will be coming to PlayStation 4, but it hasn't been confirmed.
That's just the elevator pitch for this edition of your Prompto promoting, Gearbox demoing, golden anniversarying Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 49
This week, the team takes a long hard look at a lot of little things, otherwise known as microtransactions. Why, what were you thinking?
The super-hyped Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be getting a nifty multiplayer ranked mode, but it will also be getting microtransactions. The Frozen Wilds DLC for Horizon: Zero Dawn was promised to be coming this year, and we finally have a date for it. Dragon Quest Builders is getting a sequel that will feature a glider, but it won't be coming to everyone's second favorite handheld, the Vita, in favor of everyone's favorite handheld (sorry), the Switch.
That's just the first song in your Persona Dancing, Plus capitalizing, euphoric defining Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 48
This week, the team discusses a very important issue: bugs. What is too much? Are we too hard or easy on buggy games? Are we biased? And what exactly are the seven deadly sins of gaming?
Ubisoft is doing as Ubisoft does and is injecting more life into a game once thought dead by laying out its update plan for For Honor. Players that participate in the city based Overwatch League will have certain fundamental benefits, but will we one day talk about them in the same hushed tones as players in other sports? Final Fantasy XV has a beta going live for its upcoming Comrades multiplayer content, and it's starting on August 3rd for those with PS+ and the game's season pass.
This is just the first bullet point of this two hour, Star Wars Karting, Slime-al goes Westing Trophy Talk Podcast!

TT Podcast Episode 47
This week, the guys discuss the future of VR, the logistics of selling consoles, and the fortunes of remastered games. Remember, last week's episode was a little bit late, make sure you didn't miss it!
Sony made a killing on hardware month, topping the console charts again for June. DOOM is getting a new update that revamps multiplayer features and makes all of the DLC free! Because every Ubisoft game lately needs a competitive mode, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Trophies is getting a PvP mode called Ghost Wars. Finally, Patapon Remastered has received a release date, and it's right around the corner!

TT Podcast Episode 46
After a couple of quick weeks, the team sits down to make up for the parts you've been missing. Yay bonus trivia!
For the middle of July, there's quite a bit of news. Square Enix has announced KINGDOM HEARTS IIIwill be coming in 2018, finishing a 13-year wait. Telltale has released a bunch of information about upcoming entries in three franchises: Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series, The Wolf Among Us - Season 2, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - The Final Season. Gran Turismo Sporthas finally received a release date for this year, so we'll see if that actually happens.

Fans looking to bring their rivals and followers from Shadow of Mordor into Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be able to download a new patch to the original that will allow you to do just that. Speaking of patches, Horizon: Zero Dawn has received a new patch which includes New Game+ and Ultra Hardmodes to the game.

TT Podcast Episode 44
This week, the team pretends that Independence Day (and Canada Day!) are a good excuse to talk about their favorite indie games, because you never need an excuse to do that. Sorry in advance for the quick episode, Prince had a "social engagement" to get to.
For the true trophy hunters out there, a legend is getting a sequel in the form of Pinball FX3. One of the lead developers on INSIDE has jumped ship to form the development studio Jump Ship, which will be responsible for making Somerville. Sony has decided that advertising your game on its store around a quick platinum is not a proper selling point for game, and has had the "world's fastest platinum" removed from the store temporarily.

TT Podcast Episode 43
This week, the guys sort out their gaming goals for the rest of 2017! Come have a listen, and share you 2017 trophy goals below by sharing a link to your goals page!
From the sounds of things, it sounds like the Uncharted Series may not be done just yet, with or without Nathan Drake. Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has been released as a standalone on the PSN for those who want it, but keep in mind that it doesn't have all of the DLC content included. It turns out that the server difficulties for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn wasn't just down to traffic, but were actually partially due to a DDOS attack that lined up with the release of Stormblood.
That's just the first pass of your newly voiced, third weapon wielding, Osiris Trialing, completely unrealistic goal setting Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 42
Amidst the E3 rubble, Psyonix head Jeremy Dunham made comments about how not having Cross Network play is holding gaming back. We weigh in.
Final Fantasy XV is getting its next piece of DLC, "Episode Prompto," which should be an interesting mix-up on gameplay if the previous episode is anything to go by. IO Interactive has finally split from Square Enix and has managed to retain the right to theHITMAN franchise. Sly Cooper is getting a TV series, though what this means for the movie promised in 2014, nobody knows.

TT Podcast Episode 41
This week, it's all E3, all the time as News Team Manager Punkyliar joins us for a deep dive on what it means to be at a press conference.
How many games were announced during the Sony E3 2017 Showcase? More than we got, that's for sure. It wasn't all bad. Detroit: Become Human and Days Gone certainly managed to impress. Oh, also, did you notice that the sea monster in the God of War demo looks remarkably like Kratos (for a sea monster, at least)? Neither did we!

With E3 less than a week away, the team gets together to give you some really strange predictions. Get your score cards ready. This is probably going to be a really low scoring game.
Ubisoft has announced what it will be showing at E3, while also giving a few details about the upcoming Far Cry 5. Square Enix is looking for external investors to keep the Hitman series going. Sony has revealed how many new PS4s being sold are Pro models, and how many of those are people upgrading from a base model of the PS4.

TT Podcast Episode 39
From a slow news week to quite a busy one. But don't worry, the team has you covered!
Unfortunately, it looks like Square Enix is looking to kill ties with HITMAN developer IO Interactive. A little "Xbox Marketplace datamining site" called TrueAchievements got a scoop on Blizzard by finding info on an upcoming Overwatch: Origins Edition Game of the Year edition. The Witcher will be coming to Netflix with a new series, but it won't necessarily have ties to the games set in the same world. Sega has announced Sonic Forces will have furry animal character creation tools.

Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma is finally coming to PS4 after its two predecessors did so just recently. Overwatch is now Blizzard's 8th billion dollar franchise. Sony's press conference for E3 is now officially set for the same time as always, so be sure to tune in with us as we cover it!
That's just day zero of this edition of your news *beep*ing, non-sense spouting, free-game playing Trophy Talk Podcast!
TT Podcast Episode 37
This week, we discuss the ethics of reviewing episodic games piecemeal rather than as a singular season long unit. Strap in, things are about to get pretentiously hypothetical!
It's official, Call of Duty 2017 is officially Call of Duty: WWII, but it seems the panel is perhaps beyond saving for the franchise. Atlus has apologized for it's unintentionally threatening statement regarding Persona 5 streaming and has chosen to extend the in-game no-show date. Fury has shown up to kick ass and chew apocalypse gum in the recently revealed Darksiders III.

This week, we're getting a demo for Prey, so we thought we'd discuss our favorite game demo discs that make us nostalgic. We're about to sound really old...
While we were recording last week's episode, Naughty Dog announced release details for Lost Legacy, and it's coming surprisingly soon. We march with the Empire for a while as we discuss the recent official Star Wars Battlefront II announcement. If you're thinking of getting a PS4 Slim at some point soon, you may want to hold off for a bit to get a free internal hard drive upgrade.
That's just the idle demonstration of this week's Dragon Quest double packing, CEO duelling, Free-To-Play disparaging (sorry!) TrueTrophies Podcast!
TrueTrophies Podcast Episode 35
The news is loaded this week. Atlus is blocking streaming of Persona 5, some people think Bioware did a poor job portraying a transgender character in Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Digital Foundry revealed the specs for Scorpio, which is a firm foot forward for the industry.
How long did you expect Uncharted: Lost Legacy to be? It could end up being quite long. Overwatch is getting a new mode this week focusing on a co-op game mode and exploring game mascot Tracer's first day on the job. The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is going to be free to play (not FTP) this week, but you may have to redownload it.

Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, we keep things brisk as we talk quality, quantity, and the most valuable resource in the world: time.
Destiny 2 has been fully revealed, but Brandon isn't particularly excited. More exciting and mysterious is that Sega has launched a countdown timer that is in some way related to Bayonetta. Somewhere in between, Marvel and Insomniac are having some disagreements about when the Spider-Man game will be releasing, and Jak and Daxter are getting a series of PS2 classics released this year.

Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, we dive into the trends in gaming that we expected to take hold and never did, and the trends that changed the world that we never expected. Be sure to share yours below!
Destiny 2 has been leaked, revealed, and had a teaser released in a very short span. Call of Duty 2017 could be headed back to World War II, but could this blow up in their face? Red Barrels has managed to sort out the trouble it ran into with the Australian Classification Board over Outlast 2, but we can't quite rule out self-censorship (or simple artistic intent).

Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! Join us as we take a deep dive on some of the game industry's deepest moral quandaries! What is a reviewer's purpose? Should they act with that purpose? Are reviewers human beings with basic human rights? Actually, we just assume you know the answer to that last one.
In a surprising turn of events, we manage to burn through quite a bit of news in a short period of time this week, despite going for two whole hours anyway. As art tends to do, it sounds like Outlast 2is pushing boundaries, and the Australian Rating Board is not feeling it. Apparently, Mass Effect: Andromeda has some animation issues, but are they really that jarring? After that, we take a deep, deep dive into the latest Sonic: Red Faction: Guerrilla: Mania news.

Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! We're 31 episodes in, and we're finally having a proper discussion about our favorite trophies. It's about time, don't you think?
This week's episode brings news that NieR Automata has a shop where you can buy trophies for in-game currency. Rocket League won't be getting a sequel, but it will be getting a new game mode. If you're planning on farming XP in Overwatch: Origins Edition thanks to the new custom game system, think again, for your own good.

Sorry for the long absence, folks — we would have much rather been here chatting it up if we could! We making up for it with another two-hour episode about, among other things, how nifty our dashboards are with screenshots. Destiny has a lot of news coming out lately about the future of both the current entry and the next in the series. Finally, whatever you may think of No Man's Sky, the idea of Hello Games taking all that money and pouring it into a game funding program is a pretty nice mea culpa.

There's news that the ESA has opened E3 to the public this year, but it's going to cost an arm and a leg. It appears that Horizon: Zero Dawn Trophies is getting a pretty large map, but how much value is there in that? Also, will Call of Duty be headed back to the future.

It turns out that nearly 10% of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard players have used VR. It also turns out that Deus Ex is going away for a little while, Rise of the Tomb Raider may not have sold too well, and the Avengers are reassembling. It also, also turns out that PS4 Update 4.5 is on its way with some neat new features in its sleigh.

Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, I'm joined by Prince and Brad as we discuss whether trophies are getting easier and whether that's a bad thing.
Remember that thing we weren't going to talk about? We found an excuse to talk about it again. Sorry! That's ok, because we've got good news about Yooka-Laylee getting couch co-op. That's not all as Gabe Newell took part in a Q&A in which he did little beyond confirm that there is a Single-Player game in development that is (likely) not related to Half-Life. And what's up with that spaceman?
So join us today on this edition of your sales listing, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Trophies fearing, carnival decorating TrueTrophies Podcast.
TrueTrophies Podcast Episode 26
Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, I'm joined by Prince as we discuss all the hot... Nintendo news? Don't worry! We have an excuse to do so!
It turns out that Sony's hardware and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End have both sold really well. Everyone's favorite sword dueling game (no, not that one), For Honor, has a beta coming up soon, and you're maybe invited! Most importantly, the end of the episode is devoted to an hour long spoilercast revolving around Final Fantasy XV. We just need to get it all out of our systems, and then after that, we promise not to bring it up again... at least until there's an excuse to do so. Do you think the Swit *smack!*
So join us today on this edition of your trophy pop chart topping, existential horse questioning, Final Fantasy obsessed (I'm just going to say it like it is) TrueTrophies Podcast!
TrueTrophies Podcast Episode 25
Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, I'm joined by Prince as we venture both into the past and the future (while forgetting about next week)!
There hasn't been much news on account of the holidays, except for evidence supporting a rumor about a certain video game engine maker. More importantly, we dive into what we hope was learned by the industry in 2016, and discuss what we're looking forward to in 2017. So join us today on this edition of your Ace imitating, quad-copter chopping, spoilercast teasing TrueTrophies Podcast!
We'll be off next week on account of vacation, so be sure to tune in the week after for a Final Fantasy XV Spoilercast in addition to the regularly scheduled programming!

TrueTrophies Podcast Episode 23
Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, I'm joined by Prince, Ace, and TT's Walkthroughs Manager, who has a name, I swear!
Unfortunately, it appears that Crytek may once again not be paying their employees, and Final Fantasy XV is a pretty cool game that came out. Mark Wahlberg seems to have removed himself from the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune movie, but that's ok because we know four guys who are supremely photogenic. And finally, can trailers ruin games, can they improve games, or can they just stand on their own, sort of like that trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII?
We discuss all of this, and more, on this edition of the sabretusk hunting, magic sword wielding, chocobo hailing TrueTrophies Podcast.

TrueTrophies Podcast Episode 21
Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, I'm joined by Prince,Ace, and Walkthrough Manager, as we get meta on the meta-game.
That's not all we have for new features, as we reveal our nifty censor sound effect as we discuss some The Walking Dead. We also pretend that we have any idea as to how the legal system pertains to spoilers. Oh, and did we mention that we love Watch_Dogs 2 (thanks, Dave!), or that we love Titanfall 2 (ok, that's just me)? All of this, and more is unveiled in this edition of your trophy guessing, bad pun making, and bromance gossiping TrueTrophies Podcast!
TrueTrophies Podcast Episode 20

That's not all, as we discuss the witty Vince Zampella, and other developers we love, in this shadow slinking, anecdote-generating, seriously thankful TrueTrophies Podcast!
TrueTrophies Podcast Episode 19
Welcome to another edition of the TT Podcast! This week, I'm joined by Prince and Ace as we avoid discussing censorship in favor of discussing how to allow for proper discussion of art.
That's not all! There's also talk about how Watch Dogs 2 Trophies got almost everything right, how the Ratchet & Clank movie got almost everything wrong, and how dune bashing is like free-form roller coasters. Join us this week as we talk Gigathings on this edition of your nudity suspending, Persona 5delaying, PSX speculating TrueTrophies Podcast!
