Spoken poetry - Folding of the years
I fear that it's near...The new year.
*Potentially harmful content warning*
Damn Neighbors...today's insecurities are yesterday's traumas
This is spoken poetry. As adults, it can be hard to let go of childhood traumas, especially when we haven't processed them. How can we overcome these things to be more confident in ourselves?
I was in the shower the other day when I heard the neighbors fighting…
Dark Angel - out loud poetry
Shadowed, a flaming demon lies unseen, enwrapped to shroud; He wants to scintillate the blacks of eyes, as in mine, yours and — all he shines...

Girls Who Like You Say You're Dumb
Is it okay to talk to someone who isn't your partner? And what if they say "you're dumb," but in that silly way? You know.
Love, guilt, age gaps and culture shocks are all explored, hoping that we can see people as more than their labels--and keep it that way.

"You Ain't Shit" - Dealing with Public Name-Calling
Has someone ever said this to you? Well, they finally said it to me. Dealing with mean people in public is never easy. A lot of the time, how their words make us feel says more about ourselves than it does the other person! This is mostly a vent, but we touch on some ways that a reaction can be stronger than an insult. Check it...
Also, the "S" word is used quite a bit. Just saying.

A Lot to Say About Avatar 2: The Way of Water
Guess I sure did have a lot to say about Avatar 2, surprisingly. What a pretty (long) movie! And long films call for a long contemplative episode. This rant includes some points of admiration, as well as some critiques and suggestions for future Avatars, because, obviously, I know Jim Cameron like that ;)
And, of course, spoilers abound. Be warned...

The time I published my first book — & why it sucked
Lots of people dream of--and achieve-publishing a book these days. As someone who did a terrible job at publishing my first book, I thought I'd share some of the errors I'd committed. Please don't do what I did! Listen and learn.
Okay, suck is a strong word. In this case strong is appropriate. My first (and last) published book was pretty trashy, so much so that I’m not even gonna try to discreetly pedal it here. Not even a bit. So here’s the thing:
The time I left the hospital & ended up at the airport
This account tells of Neboh leaving the hospital life behind, and embarking on his first solo journey to a new land. Of course, he was not ready at all! Enjoy, and you can read the text version of this story here.
Oh, there are so many great “firsts” to choose from! I could tell you about the first time Neboh went to this hotel, and he met … Well, that one might be for another time. Since we are all just meeting him, why don’t I tell you something a bit more inspirational...
That time I knocked over a Vietnam Vet
A fun story of how my family dealt with my grandpa's untimely illness. Through humor (and hunger), his years with Parkinson's gave me the best memories.
"Some days they’d make fun of funny-looking people, some days they’d laugh at each other ..."

That time I gave up taking psych meds (& what’s happened since)
A not-so-thoughtful decision that led to (crazy, then) better thought.
That’s right, this is pandemic time. Putting aside the obvious Covid-19 one, we can’t forget about the pandemic of mental illness that’s been — well, it’s been pretty viral these last few decades. So many out there are struggling with mental and emotional crises of all kinds and classes, and many of these worthy warriors have to deal with another tough decision; should I stay or should I go? (as in, “go off” my meds) ...
