We work with the BBC on the Genome Project, providing metadata from our vast database of British television programme information

The December edition of Kaleidopod has so many Christmas goodies that we had to split it into two parts! Kaleidopod Special 3 - Apollo 17 (Last Men on the Moon)
The third and final Kaleidopod Special features rare BBC broadcasts covering the last moon landing by the crew of Apollo 17.
James Burke and Patrick Moore provide the commentary with help from Gene Shoemaker and Apollo 15 astronaut David Scott.
These unique recordings capture the excitement of the mission and a lament that this would be the last time this would happen for a very long time

Kaleidopod 11 - November 2023 (An Extended Edition)
In this specially extended episode we feature many 1960s radio recordings made by Ken Holmes for his Private Video Library, which include shows hosted by DJ's Alan Freeman, David Jacobs, Pete Murray, Dave Cash and Brian Matthew, with music including the Moody Blues, rare drama and comedy, and many news bulletins and continuity clips of the time.
Kaleidopod Special 2 - Doctor Who 60th Anniversary
To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Doctor Who, we play extracts of some of the lost audio of early episodes, and tell the story of how, in late 2018, Kaleidoscope was delighted to be contacted by one of our volunteers, Robert Wyn, who had been given some audio reels of Doctor Who off air recordings. As with all Kaleidoscope projects, we returned the material to the BBC free of charge so all may enjoy in the future.

The episode also features rare and unique interviews with many actors, writers, directors and producers that were involved in this historic television series

Kaleidopod Special 1 - Kennedy Assassination 60th Anniversary
This first Special Edition of Kaleidopod for Easter features rare UK television audio from around the time of the President Kennedy assassination in November 1963.
How did television sound 60 years ago? We discover the days before the shooting, with children's TV shows, afternoon political phone-ins, lots of commercials and continuity, as well as news of the event as newsflashes and bulletins, and a moving epilogue.
