Season 3 Info
I Am: Ft. Imani Adrea
This a beautiful collaboration with social media personality Imani Adrea as we discuss the birth of her "I am" concept. We connected on the topic of "I Am" at a motivational speakers semi-finals competition in Miami, FL. During a lunch break. Imani and myself along with several others had a very in depth in conversation that produced a ton of energy that inspired the entire table about the possibilities of the great things that can happen when you decide to embrace who you truly are.
Like Wheat
In biblical text, threshing wheat was a way to separate the good parts from the bad parts (remove the wheat from the chaff). In Luke's gospel, Jesus tells Simon (Peter) that Satan has asked to have him and sift him like wheat. Meaning, he wants to separate him from what's good in Him and what's good for him. But Jesus prayed for him, that his faith would not fail. Jesus is interceding on your behalf, Don't Give Up!
The Mercy Rule
God blesses us with opportunity everyday. The Bible describes these opportunities as mercy. The mercy that we receive is nothing short of a gift from God. What you do with your mercy reflects your gratitude for life. Are you taking advantage of fresh mercy today?
Dark Nights
There are some moments when we don't understand why things are happening. The load gets heavier and harder to carry, and the pressure can be crippling. In Job's case, the early account of his life was devastating. Despite losing his family, fortune, and health I can't help but to be motivated by his ability to believe God in the midst of his dark nights.
Unchained
It's time for you to distance yourself from false God's. Stop worshipping the creation and Worship the Creator. Break free from darkness.
Nothing But The Blood
We must realize that we don't... and never had the power to save ourselves. Happiness and joy is fleeting without our Lord and Savior Jesus. You can drink, party, and club. Deny God, rely on your job, or your spouse if you choose. Serve other God's and worship your idols. At some point, you'll cave. At some point you'll run out of answers. I have tried everything under the sun. Only to realize... Nothing but the Blood of Jesus will save me!
The Drop
If you've ever dropped your child, there's an immediate panic. We check for physical damage, but we can never assess internal damage at that moment. We can't measure a child's anxiety at that moment. We can see tears, but we can't see an accelerated heart rate. So it is with you and I, no one can see where we've been dropped in our life. No one can measure our pain, anger, or unforgiveness as a result of us being dropped. However, we can examine ourselves. Are you willing to do that?
Abandoned in Obscurity
There will be a time when you feel unheard, unloved, and notoriously rejected. Invisible even. Although the circumstances appear to reveal abandonment and obscurity. God is allowing you the opportunity to strengthen your faith. Don't shift along with the distractions. Stay grounded and look beyond what you see.
It's Not What You Think
In this episode I use an unlikely conversation between me and God to expose the importance of guarding your thought life. Do not be fooled that you're actually thinking because you're consciously aware of certain thoughts. It's the thoughts you don't hear that are shaping you're reality.
Sacrificial Love
Jesus paints a picture in Luke's gospel about leaving the 99 sheep to find the lost one. If you spend time thinking about it, it's a true love story. His love isn't questionable but ours is. Are we willing to make the same sacrifices as He did?
Take It Personal
The heights you rise or depths you fall all depend on your personal relationship with God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. In this episode I reveal the key to unlocking your potential and scratch the surface on how to find your virtue to will upon the earth. It's all done through this method.
Why Jesus Weeps
As mighty as Jesus is, we can find the one thing that breaks His heart. Unbelief! It's the same with us as human beings as well. We can experience hurt and brokenness when those we love and truly care for could care less to show faith and trust in whom we know we are. Make sure that if you're surrounded, be surrounded by people whom will speak life into you and bring the best out of you.
Entertaining Conversations
Listening to the wrong conversations can have a huge impact on your life may areas of your life. It's important to observe where you are in life and take an inventory of your feelings. Are you where you want to be? If not, then you need to find out what conversations you have entertained that has placed you where you are. Both inner and outer conversations can have an impact. Find them and eliminate them.
The Exchange
Why do we make it so easy to exchange the truth about God for a lie? If you really knew or understood what was inside of you, would you still consciously take the lie instead of accepting God's truth?
Awareness
In 1 Timothy, Paul charges Timothy to do two things to ensure he stays on the path to righteousness. He insist on Timothy to 'Cling and to Keep.' Both of which are vital to His spiritual growth and walk with Christ. As you read the text along with this podcast, it becomes quite clear that we should follow the same instructions so that our walk with God is fulfilling and is used for impact.
Indifferent
The feeling of indifference is sort of an oxymoron because indifference is the equivalent to numb. There isn't a gauge of anger, sadness, or anxiety. Indifference is a space of void and emptiness. You want laughter but refuse to go into an atmosphere that produces it. You want to experience love and joy, but push away that which can give it. Jesus says to turn from your indifference, the place where apathy nor passion have life. The lukewarm state of existence. Jesus promises to clothe you in righteousness and give you the best in exchange for your indifference. Will you accept His offer?
In The Still
There is a place where we can go that gives peace and clarity to all things. However, we must make a conscious choice to discern the voices and noise that we entertain. Without the 'Still' is it possible to connect with God? Is it possible to hear what you need to hear from Him to know the right choices to make?
Disgusted
There's nothing more frustrating than dealing with people who can't make up their mind. Ironically, this is something that God Himself despises as well. In Revelation 3:15-16 we are given a literal metaphor for Jesus' distaste for indecision. He makes a reference to vomit or spew/spit us out of His mouth. He desires that we rather be all in or all out.
The Residue of Rejection
Rejection leaves a tremendous amount of residue after it happens. We may think that we've moved on after we've gotten up and have dusted ourselves off. But the truth of the matter is that the lingering effects of rejection leaves behind residue. Anger, self-condemnation, sadness, and other feelings are just traces of unforgotten rejection. Even Jesus felt the sting of rejection at every turn. No matter what He did, He was rejected. People wanted more miracles, more healings, more acts of divinity, and in return He was met with brutality, humiliation, and suffered a criminals death. He was able to turn His residue into a resurrection. What will you do with yours?
Losing the Labels
At one point or another you've maybe heard 'I hate you!', 'You're just like your father!', 'You're trash!', 'etc. You get the point. All of us have had something said to us that was hurtful and quite damaging. Whether or not we believe if what was said is true, the reality is that our acceptance of what was said manifested in our real lives. You may have noticed that sometimes our behavior reflects the behavior of what was used to describe us. We don't have to accept labels or entertain them. We are free of judgement once we decide to drop the labels.
Label Maker
Label makers are typically an office tool or a tool used to identify specific compartments in an office space or a house. Sometimes they are use to reveal a name on a name badge. These are acceptable ways to use a label maker. What if we as people have become label makers?
To establish a label upon person or circumstance based upon rumor, poor observation, or even from our own personal experiences is the wrong way to use a label. Not only do we speak things into existence when we label someone, but we engrain our accusatory opinion into their mind. Leaving them to inevitably label themselves.
Cardiac Attacks Pt.3 Ft. Natasha Lywan
There are always 2 sides to every story just like there are always multiple perspectives and view points. In this episode we will continue to talk about the side effects of depression and anxiety from a woman's perspective. But most importantly, the steps we can take to better ourselves in the process.
Cardiac Attacks Pt.2- No Fig Leaves
Shame and condemnation often come at the end of an offense and eventually we begin to harbor unforgiveness towards those that offended us. As a result we can lose ourselves behind the choices that we make when we're hurting and cover ourselves in fig leaves (sin). The good news is that God has already forgiven us and his love and mercy is new everyday, but we must accept it to experience it. If you can find the courage to forgive yourself it becomes a lot easier to forgive others.

Was it Worth it Pt.2- Perception, Perspective, Truth
Faith or Fear: I thought so! (The Lost Episode)
What we think we will determine where we place our faith or if we will be restricted by fear. You can think your way into freedom or fear your way into destruction or captivity. You are in essence no greater than what you think. You can change your health, income, and relationships if you would simply change the way you think.
Your Armor is Your Identity
If the enemy can get your mind then he can get you in the process. If you know whose you are and where you come from then putting on your armor isn't as challenging as you're making it out to be.
Was it Worth it Pt.1
The circumstances you face may have a lingering effect to them. You may be experiencing some pain, some anger, or discomfort from a decision or choice. Many of us make these choices that result in shame, fear, and guilt. If a poor choice has caused you to hurt or lose out on some of the things that you find most dear to you then the only question left to ask yourself is... Was it worth it?
The Unchained Podcast: Season 2: Episode 16: I Wrestle Too
We all wrestle with knowing whom we truly are. If you are in Christ then I would suggest that you are not wrestling with whom God has called you to be but more so of accepting the idea of whom God called you to be. We more than likely wrestle the wrong things in life. We often fight with bad thinking instead of fighting to walk in our image of God.
The Way Back
Being caught by your thoughts leaves you entrapped in your feelings and your feelings can often provoke action. At times we can allow our emotions to carry us away from our purpose, passion, and our calling. But that does not mean that God does not follow through on His word. His grace and mercy allows to find our way back to him. Through our desperation for wholeness God will move the needle to direct our paths back into His arms.
When You Decide
There are things that happen to us in life that are just flat out unfair. We have the option to let these things interfere with or alter our life. Avoiding anger and bitterness can sometimes be hard to do. Should you fall into those feelings it's up to you to decide when to leave those feelings behind.
Watch What You Say
Have you ever said something that you wish you could take back? What if the thing you said came true in a way that you didn't expect? How intentional are you with your words? Believe it or not, they have power. They can build up or tear down. They can produce and create life, or they can leave someone feeling worse than death. Words can be empowering but they can also be sharp enough to puncture. Choose them carefully before you speak them.
How Jesus Responds
If there is one thing that is evident about Jesus, its that he responds to faith. How does Jesus respond to faith though? What moves His heart or His hands? Are there things we must do or things that we shouldn't? I am aware that Jesus is great in all capacity. What would you do to experience His greatness in tangible form? In Mark chapter 5 we find that when Jesus is on the move, all things are possible through desperation?
The Power of Insight
Sometimes we're stripped away from our normalcy to find who we truly are. What we think of as life can be deceiving at times. What if your normal or comfort zone was built upon a lie? What if the lie you were told to believe was only your perception of truth based upon your exposure to religion? How would that make you feel? Would you be angry? hurt? broken? The power of inward reflection is most valuable in the light of Christ. Whom God says we are outweighs the traditions and expectations of man. When you know God has a plan for you, you don't need validation from man.
It's Not About You
Have you ever felt like you're missing your purpose in life? Have you ever considered that some things you go through in your life are bigger than you? What if everything that you encounter in life is for a greater purpose? In today's podcast I will give you the secret to unlocking your purpose.
The Outsider
Never find yourself outside of Jesus' inner circle. Being away from His presence means you'll never find the intimacy that you crave from Him. Revelation is only given through a close relationship. Furthermore, intimacy with Christ is needed for spiritual growth. Our faith will be tested and if the seeds of faith haven't taken root then you're sure to be uprooted.
The Cost of Entry
The bridge between where you are now and where you would like to go comes with a cost. At every stage in life, the climb to higher requires the sacrifice of your comfort. Can you part with where you now to become who you could be in life? Can you leave your past to grasp your new future?
Do You Want to Get Well?
In John chapter 5 we take a deep dive into a very strange question that Jesus asks a sick man, "Would you like to get well?" As simple as the question may be it holds a heavy thought process to answer it correctly. How would you answer it?
Don't Be Useless
The clear benefit of being connected to Jesus is being connected to emanate and limitless power. In John chapter 15 Jesus tells us plainly that He is the source of our fruitfulness. In this episode I wish to impart to you the revelation given to me in this weeks Bible study.
I Thought So
Elevation in life comes from an elevation of thought. Our quality of life depends on how we think. In the Bible, King Solomon says "As a man thinks, he is" If you wish to test the theory of becoming your thoughts, choose something to meditate on. Then watch how emotionally attached you become to the thought.
Weight on It
The weight of our judgement relies upon how we judge and condemn others. In this episode, we discuss how we weigh out the sins of others without using the same scales to weigh the sins of our own. What does God say about doing this?
Deuteronomy 25:13-16
Jonah 4
Come Back to Me
No matter where you are in life, how much you've messed up, or the hurt that you feel or caused you can find peace in knowing that it can all be turned around. Assessing where you started with God and where you are now might just be what you need for a reality check. If you find yourself far from, just turn to Him and go back to where you first gave your life to Him.
Faith or Fear (closing thoughts)
The rule of Faith is to hold the concept and idea that what you believe is there despite what your circumstance looks like. To hold the mental picture that your deepest desires will become true is the foundation of true faith. What you think will inevitably be.
Faith or Fear
This podcast challenges our trust in Christ and poses the question of whether our actions are persuaded by faith or fear. Do our experiences have anything to do with the strength of our faith or depth of fears? Better yet, do our expectations in life shape these realities?
Alone Time
There are times in our walk with God where we feel distant from His presence. It is important to know that our distance or feeling thereof is a choice. Our feeling of the separation from God is boiled down to our neglect in time with Him. Therefore this feeling is more than likely truth, but it does not point to a fact that God has left us but rather reflects the truth that we left Him. Love language is expressed in time spent. You become what you hang with. Which begs the question, Who/what has your time?
The Black Vantage Point
A vantage point is described as the best afforded way to get a view of something. It seems that everyone has their own vantage point about things that are not kin to them or things that they may be unfamiliar with. Opinions can be okay at times, but at other times they can be unnecessary. I want to share a few facts with you in this episode about what is happening this world from the BLACK POINT OF VIEW.
