#46 with Douglas - How to buy property and travel the world
Douglas Laz owns a property portfolio that allows him to travel the world without worrying about his bank account. Douglas had visited 100 countries and all 7 wonders of the world by the age of 24, with his next goal to reach 150 countries by 30 years old. He has built a property portfolio here in Australia that provides a monthly rental income and continues to grow this to live a free life.
This podcast episode dives into the process of building his portfolio in such away that gives him the time and freedom to explore the world. It goes into why he travels and what he loves about travel, plus how anyone can travel the world for much less money than we may think!

#45 with Bec - How to build a healthier lifestyle without (too much) sacrifice
Bec Hardgrave is a breath of fresh air... she makes healthy living fun and I LOVE THAT! I've always struggled to stay consistent with dieting, healthy eating, and habit tracking, but, after speaking with Bec and seeing what she posts on TikTok and Instagram, I'm realising that strict dieting isn't necessarily the only way to a healthier lifestyle.
This podcast episode was all about improving the 80% (hard work and healthier living) without sacrificing the 20% (pleasure foods and fun). I had such a great time chatting with Bec up in Brisbane and this episode has turned out better than I ever could have imagined! I just know you'll all learn as much as I did and walk away with the same amazing impression of Bec, eager to learn more!

#44 with Brooke & Jake - Risk, Marriage, and DIY Renovations
Brooke and Jake are a dream couple. They met by chance, circumstances meant they never should have worked, the spark was too strong, they fell in love, they got married, they started working together full-time on their own terms... What a story!
These are two incredibly inspiring people who live every day aligned with their true selves. Brooke and Jake love DIY home renovations, thrifting, social media content creation, travel and planning for the future. And it was so refreshing to be able to hear all about their experiences along the crazy journey that has been the last few years! It all just goes to show, the best things often come from the least suspecting situations...

#43 with Zach and Stellah - When life doesn't go to plan...
Zach Biddulph and Stellah Littlemore are engaged, they've built a social enterprise, they've renovated a Mercedes van, they've done their deckhand course, and now they're heading overseas on the adventure of a lifetime! To many, this sequence of events would seem like a pivot, and I guess it is, but after talking with these two incredible humans, it becomes clear that the life they desire simply will never be linear.
Zach and Stell are true lovers of life. They love hard, they hurt deeply, they strive for excellence and settle for nothing. With each challenge thrown at them, another solution is found. These two are a beacon of light in so many ways and I can't wait for you to experience what I got to experience with them behind the mics!
Oh yeah, a quick disclaimer... this episode is full of HILARIOUSLY inappropriate stories!

#42 with James - Find politics boring? This'll change your mind...
I knew nothing about politics before today's conversation. I didn't understand how our political system functioned, I didn't understand why my vote mattered, I didn't even understand how my concerns could be raised among local council. These are all things that I believe are vital to the successful progression of the beautiful democracy we call home - Australia.
Sit down with myself and Cooper Chapman, a good mate of mine who is doing incredible work in the mental health field, as we discuss politics with James Griffin, the liberal member for Manly and the NSW Minister for Environment and Heritage. The reason why I think this episode is SO refreshing is because James is able to answer our questions in a way that feels like a normal conversation with a mate, not a conversation with a politician.
This episode is educational at heart. It was recorded so we could all learn a thing or two about politics in Australia from people who aren't boring (if I do say so myself)...

#41 with Alex - How your mindset creates your reality
The Post-School Podcast is back for 2023! And in typical Uncle Nathan fashion, we're kicking things off with a BANG!
Alex Hayes is a lover of life, a dreamer, a go-getter, a change-maker, and a friend. Since I started this journey, Alex has been at the forefront of my dream guest list, and finally, I'm able to share his story with all of you!
Alex blew up on social media during his high-school years and has converted that run of virality into a complete life of fulfilment. Dreaming, levelling up, and chasing new experiences is the way I like to sum Alex up, and my god does that fit the mission of this podcast! You'll walk away from this chat with an in-depth insight into how Alex thinks, how he approaches challenges, why he pushes himself constantly, and how you too can create a life of fun, love, and achievement on a level you never thought possible.

#39 with SammyRay - How to live and work from anywhere in the world
Sam Raward grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, but just before COVID hit he made a choice to pack his things and move to the Gold Coast. Since the move, he's created multiple streams of income through online mediums that allow him to work his own hours, at his own pace. Oh, he also drives a Lambo...
This chat with Sam was inspiring for a few standout reasons. Firstly, the guy knows how to get shit done. He also knows what he DOESN'T want, and that goes a long way to figuring out what you do want. Sam proves that you can create any life for yourself if you want it bad enough and you're willing to persevere through the inevitable adversities life throws at you.

#38 with Jaxon - Steroids, tattoos, suicide, prison, and a guide to a better life
Mr. Jaxon Tippet... redefining the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover", Jaxon has the body of a Greek God, tattoos head to toe, and yet, he's one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I say that cautiously because I know the stigmas surrounding gym and tattoo culture, and it's something that Jax, Bailey and I had a really great chat about!
This episode is full of incredible stories, vulnerability, laughs and stigma-breaking insights that I believe every person should hear and understand. This is my favourite episode to date. I had SO MUCH FUN recording with Jaxon and Bailey, and I know you'll love listening to the conversation. Stay tuned for the next episode as well - it's Bailey's turn!

#37 with Shayla - Navigating the highs and lows of social media growth
Shayla Jay is an extremely inspiring human. She has this way about her that seamlessly convinces you to stop what you're doing and listen because you know you're about to hear something worth listening to. It’s very rare to come across a human who is as in touch with their own unique zone of genius as Shayla is.
Our episode touched on a few of Shayla’s adventures, her growth on social media & the intricacies of building a personal brand with some seriously valuable insights into dealing with the negativity that social media growth brings with it.

#36 with Jesse - Coaching, leadership, hardship and mindset
Jesse Freeman - competitive eater, social media guru, coach, leader, husband, and friend.
It's pretty wild to think that a love for nutrition could bring you to become one of the best competitive eaters in Australia (with 2 Guinness World Records nonetheless), but, sure enough for Jesse, this actually happened! A crazy journey that saw him find a passion for content creation and social media has turned into a career that Jesse loves. This episode is an extremely refreshing take on the idea that you truly can create any life for yourself if you want it bad enough!

#35 with Brandon - What does it take to be the best?
Brandon Starc - Youth Olympic Silver Medalist at just 16 years old, 2-time Olympian, Commonwealth Games Gold and Silver, a husband, a father, the brother of Aussie Cricket Legend Mitchell Starc, and an inspiration to so many young Aussie athletes. What a privilege it was to sit down with this incredible human!
"Hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard" - it's true for every endeavour, especially in the sporting world. Something that stuck with me from this chat is Brandon's undying desire to be the best. There is no alternative, there is no failure. Failure simply cannot exist when you refuse to quit and Brandon embodies exactly that. It was an incredible chat with the perfect mix of value, entertainment and amazing storytelling. Seriously, don't miss this one!

#34 with Dhruv - How to actually make things happen
Remember that fantastic app idea you had? What happened to it? Did you actually turn it into an app or did the idea end up stuck in the "too hard" pile?
It's an idea that I think most people consider at some point in their adolescence. That desire to create something lasting, something that millions of people could use, something that brings happiness and value to the masses, an app. Yet, not many actually make it happen.
Dhruv Verma made it happen. Here's how...

#33 with Hanna - "You're too young" - sorry, what?
How old is old enough? How much experience do you need to do a job well? How is a network built from the ground up?
All great questions. All questions without a definite answer. In today's episode of The Post-School Podcast, I sit down with Hanna Clare to chat about how a young person has moulded a career that most adults would only dream of. Hanna hit the ground running in the world of work as soon as she could, taking no time to work her way up into management roles and build a network of incredibly intelligent, well-connected people.
This episode is jam-packed full of value for anyone looking to be a trail-blazer in their industry. It flips the narrative of being too young on its head and completely rewrites what it means to hustle. A seriously great listen for anyone at any age!

#32 with JBoxer - How to avoid a life of regret
What is a life well lived? What is success? Why are old people so sour?
All great questions. All questions without a definite answer. In today's episode of The Post-School Podcast, I sit down with Jack Boxer to chat about the side of personal development that isn't commonly taught. The side that helps you avoid a life of regret. The side that teaches you how to find and chase your passions. The side that teaches you how to love your life.

#31 with Othr Half - Ditching the corporate lifestyle to create something meaningful
There seems to be a very prominent stigma surrounding the topic of self-care in the male community. Most men do care about how they look, however, they often hide this opinion from public view to avoid shame. Tim and Tan, a power couple from Brisbane, are on a mission to destigmatise the self-care industry for men through education, hard work, and killer skincare products. Their brand, Othr Half, launched a range of skincare products earlier this year after multiple years of development and I was lucky enough to sit down with them for a chat about not just this topic, but also the journey that took them both through uni, into the corporate life, around the world travelling, and now into the startup space. It was a chat full of advice, really interesting fun facts and talking points, many laughs, and a bunch of profound learnings.
This is the perfect ep for any guy or girl who is interested in the world of business and willing to open their mind to the idea of self-care in all regards.

#30 with Spike - the gym, some wild stories, and a few life lessons...
After finding himself in a dark mental space, a gap year overseas that started with a burst appendix and a near-death experience, Jackson Harding decided to change his narrative. At his lowest point, Jackson found relief in the gym with the help of a personal trainer who taught him the 'right' way to go about fitness. It had nothing to do with the image of others, and everything to do with how he perceived himself. This was the beginning of a journey for Jackson that empowered him to start his own PT business and strive to show others how to live a values-based healthy life.
Jacko and I met through a mutual ambassadorship with Shine and quickly saw just how aligned our values were. This chat was epic, with a nice flow, some jaw-dropping stories, and a bunch of incredibly practical tips, we both walked away stoked with how it turned out! If you're like me and have always tried to get into the gym but struggled, this episode is definitely for you!

#29 with KC - Teaching what's not taught in school
Kirstene Ciappara isn't just a teacher. KC is revolutionising the way today's youth learn in the classroom by focusing not on the traditional learning areas, but by focusing on the part of life that matters most - who we are as human beings. Imagine where you'd be today if you spent years 7-12 thinking about what makes you tick... what your passions are, what your strengths and weaknesses are, what your motivations are, what change you want to see in this world. This is exactly the kind of thinking KC enables in her classrooms, allowing young people to discover who they are BEFORE they're thrown into the big, wide world!
In today's episode, we discuss some of the frameworks and learnings that KC has spent the last few years building. She shares some great insight into how to develop your own purpose and discover what it is you want out of life. Both practical and inspiring, this episode is a must-listen!

#28 with Brad - Don't know your purpose? Start here!
Bradley Dryburgh wasn't a runner, yet he decided to run a marathon. 1 week out from his first marathon, he had a bleed in his lungs. When most would consider giving it a miss, Brad chose to persevere... 3 years later and Brad has appeared on TV in front of millions, raised over $75k and run 2 marathons - all for a cause close to his heart. Cystic Fibrosis (or CF) is a condition that affects a huge number of Australians, with 50% of those diagnosed having an age expectancy below 30 years... Brad has been able to reshape the challenge of living with CF into a gift in disguise and is determined to show the rest of the CF community that life with CF may be hard, but it's not impossible.
I walked away from my chat with Brad absolutely inspired to make the most of the precious life I have been given. I truly believe this episode is the best mix between inspiration and practical advice that I have ever produced and I could not be more proud to share this incredible story with my audience. I know you'll walk away feeling exactly the same way I do about Brad!

#27 with Miff - Finding opportunity in despair
Imagine this - you've worked your whole life to get to the top of your sport. You start building some momentum. You can feel the pinnacle close by. All of a sudden, you lapse in concentration for a split moment and it all comes crashing down. You've missed your opportunity to show the world that you deserve to be at the top. It wouldn't be an easy thing to deal with, would it?
Well, unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to this week's guest on The Post-School Podcast... Miff Rennie is an aspiring Aussie Skier who was inches away from this year's Winter Olympic Games before a crash rendered her unable to ski for a year! This episode is an inspiring look into how Miff has been able to cope with such a setback, as well as a really great conversation about finding opportunities in each stage of life and capitalising on those opportunities when they're presented to you!
