Episode 25: Creating Jump Out of Bed, Let's Do This Goals
In today's episode, I'm talking about creating heart-centered goals. Goals you would do pretty much anything to achieve it, live and feel it. Does this sound like you when you set a goal? You have set a goal and after a couple of months, it falls by the wayside, never to be seen or thought of again. Did you not achieve it because you were too lazy, procrastinated or unclear about how to achieve it? In my opinion, no, I don't believe this is why. I used to set goals just to set them. Meaning, January 1st would approach and I would sit down and list all of the things that I thought I should do throughout the year. Like eat healthy, save money, or exercise more. My steps todays, and what I'm sharing in this podcast, are those that I teach in all my programs. They are heart-centered and comes with the motivation already included. Today's episode is an upping your health & happiness game challenge. On average, we sit for 8 hours a day and that doesn’t include sleeping. That is a lot of sitting, a lot of inactivity and stiffness. It has been proven that exercise not only improves your mood, but also boosts your self-esteem. If you want to feel healthy, happy, sexy, energized, confident, or desirable, moving your body is an amazing way to enhance those feelings. Even if you are not at your ideal weight, you will immediately feel the benefits. No matter what you do, if you move more than you sit, you will make healthier food choices, you will sleep better, you will decrease your stress, boost your immunity, and you will literally be happier because exercise releases happy endorphins into your brain. I'll be talking about essential nutrition that we all need no matter what diet we are on and how to add healthy protein, carbohydrates, fats and whole-food nutrition into your every day meal plans.
