Hello! Happy World Mental Health Day! We're back with a new surprise episode and series launch. In this episode we dust off the mic and catch up on the last two years (!) Including new babies, house moves, coping with loss and going sober.
Join us this season as we explore coping tips and tricks to keep your mental health in check through challenging times, or if you're just not feeling too good.
We're excited to relaunch the podcast and talk about mental health, as it's so important and a topic so close to both of our hearts. Everyone is welcome to give it a listen and if you're an original subscriber, thank you for joining us again.

Welcome back to season 2 of Unplugged! We are super excited to be back with a fresh lineup of episodes. This week we talk about OCD with our friend Ben Gander.

OCD & Me by Ben Gander - Obsessive compulsive disorder (or OCD) is a debilitating, very serious and common mental illness, a far cry from the fad that popular culture has tried to turn it into. 'OCD & Me' is a semi-autobiographical tale, which tells of one man's suffering and struggle to keep his family and his sanity. After suffering in silence for many years, when the extent of his illness becomes clear Mark is sent to a psychiatric hospital. There, he is forced to fight or to lose everything. 'OCD & Me' is heavily based on my own experience of the illness. I now lead a full and fantastic life with my wife and children. I hope my story can help give hope to other sufferers and their families, so that they too can turn their life around and enjoy it to the full.

It’s mental health awareness week here in the UK. This year’s theme, Nature, has been created because of the connection people have had with the natural environment off the back of lockdown and Covid restrictions. It became one of the top coping strategies people adopted during the pandemic. We'd like to encourage all of our listeners to go outside and enjoy nature or bring an element of nature into their home, as and when they can. We know personally it has had a positive impact on our minds.
In this week's episode, Tom & Hannah speak to Jo about finding balance in our lives, the benefits of getting outdoors and other important factors for happy healthy minds at work.
