EP15 | The Horse of Course | Bella Milo - Rugby Legend
Aiming for her 4th Rugby World Cup Event in 2021, Bella Milo is part of an exclusive group of rugby players. This is (part of) her rugby journey.
Bella is the Head Coach of the Société Générale Valley RFC Women’s Premiership team and the Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Hong Kong Women’s team. She is also a current Western Samoan International player – hoping that the Women’s Rugby World Cup can proceed in New Zealand in September 2021 and that Samoa will have qualified so that she can play in her third RWC.
There's also still a chance that HK can qualify which would make things very tricky - the first ever person to play for one team and coach another, at the same RWC!
Having played in the 2006 and 2014 RWC's for Samoa and coached Hong Kong in the 2017 RWC, Bella is a true rugby professional with vast experience.
During this week Bella also featured in the Societe Generale Expert Panel with Jonny Wilkinson and Matt Giteau which was live-streamed as the Men’s 2023 RWC draw was announced in France.

EP13 | The Horse of Course | Empowering Women Through Sport
This special episode features a live panel discussion webinar recorded on 29th October 2020 in partnership with our title sponsor, Societe Generale.
Rugby provides the perfect example of sport as a force for women’s empowerment through its values of teamwork and commitment, which Societe Generale has celebrated during its 30-year sponsorship of the game globally and though its seven seasons as title sponsor of Valley RFC in Hong Kong.
In the ’60 minutes’ all-staff webinar co-organised by the Gender Diversity Network (SG For She) and Valley RFC, Grant Beuzeval, Valley RFC’s Chief Operating Officer, steered a dialogue with three successful and energetic women who have succeeded in business, life and sport;
- Gaelle Olivier - CEO of Societe General Asia Pacific and ultra trail runner
- Ada Tsang - Hong Kong's first woman to climb Mount Everest
- Kim Boreham - former Valley RFC rugby player and Chairperson and partner at Tanner De Witt law firm.
The trio shared their insights into three broad themes: competitiveness, confidence and improvement; stress and managing work/life balance; and their advice to the viewers.
