25 Years of a movement called 'Kelyane Bhashantar'. We are happy to bring to you Season 2 of your favourite podcast : Anuswad! In this season we will get to know such individuals and organisations who have been working for better translation, better awareness about translation.

द गर्ल इन रूम 105 हे प्रसिद्ध लेखक चेतन भगत यांचं गाजलेलं आणि थोड्याशा वेगळ्या म्हणजे रहस्यकथेच्या अंगाने जाणारं पुस्तक. याचा मराठी अनुवाद केला आहे सुवर्णा अभ्यंकर यांनी. रहस्यकथा हा साहित्यप्रकार हाताळताना त्यातलं रहस्य शेवटपर्यंत टिकवून ठेवण्यासाठी अनुवाद करताना अनुवादकाला काय काळजी घ्यावी लागते, आजच्या तरुणाईच्या भाषेत सहज येणारे इंग्रजी आणि इतर भाषांमधले शब्द त्यातली संवादात्मकता आणि सहजता न घालवता भाषांतरित करण्याची प्रक्रिया कशी असते त्यासाठी कोणत्या गोष्टींची मदत होते हे समजून घेणं मराठी वाचकांसाठी निश्चितच रंजक ठरेल. या आणि अशा इतरही गोष्टींवर सुवर्णा अभ्यंकर यांच्याशी संवाद साधला आहे उज्जवला बर्वे आणि विदुला टोकेकर यांनी.

The Girl in Room 105 is a famous and different book by celebrated writer Chetan Bhagat which comes under the genre of suspense thriller. It is translated into Marathi by Suvarna Abhyankar. How careful the translator has to be while translation suspense thrillers to make sure that the suspense remains the suspense till the very end, what is the process of translation the English and Hindi words which are used so often by the young generation into Marathi without losing the spontaneity and natural flow of the language and how it is done will be very interesting to know for Marathi readers. Ujjwala Barve and Vidula Tokekar are in conversation with Suvarna Abhyankar on these and many more interesting points in this episode.

Seven Habits of Highly Effective People is a book that has affected milions of families across the globe.  its translated into Marathi by Vidula Tokekar. Translation of 'self help' books demand easy language, should keep in mind a cross section of readers while translating. Seven Habits is designed in a particular way.  It has peculiar words and concepts.  It is interesting to understand how these points are highlighted in its Marathi translation. Sure Marathi readers and translators both would find the conversation between Ujjwala Barve and Vidula Tokekar interesting and useful.

Mills and Boon love stories are an unique genre in itself. Exciting for reading, and equally challenging for translation into an entirely different culture.  TranslationPanacea had helped the publishers with Marathi translation of 11 novels by Mills and Boon, and in this episode, the translators Sayali Godse and Minal Pawar share with us how they successfully brought all the romance and love and variety of M&B into Marathi, maintaining sensibilites of the target language.
