Ep 47: Transitioning out of the NFL + choosing to be real in a world full of fakes ft. Sam Acho
Sam Acho who is an NFL player, writer, public speaker and humanitarian shared his journey of currently transitioning out of the NFL, choosing to be more intentional and purposeful in his personal life journey and how realizing that God loves him regardless is changing the course of his life. This is one story I love so much because of how it highlights a particular phase we all go through but rarely talk about: TRANSITION. This phase can be uncomfortable and challenging but is definitely worth it if done the right way according to Godly values. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this story. Ep 39: #hiswordforyou - Don't forget to thank God for those things you prayed for when they manifest
Remember those things you've been believing God for, for a long time? Do you recall they've already been answered? Okay, life went by so quickly but the last time you remembered, did you at least pause to take it all in and express your gratitude to God even if it was just 10 minutes of meditation and reflecting back to how faithful he has been. This episode is a reminder that God still appreciates gratitude and most times we don't need to do the most to say thank you to him. A grateful heart is a happy heart. The real reason you haven't started working on that idea is not fear. You feel the market is oversaturated and everybody seems to be doing the same thing you want to do. Ep 28: Growing up with an absent father + seeking validation from people ft. Anonymous
Fathers have very significant roles to play in the life of their children. There is a difference between a 'Father' and a 'Dad' and quite a number of men are just 'fathers' and 'providers' to their children. This episode features an Anonymous story on how having an absent father in this person's early childhood days led her to seek validation, acceptance and love from just anybody which always ended in premium tears. Ep 6: Purpose Discovery Is A Process That Never Ends
In the Issues Segment of this episode, we understand that discovering your purpose shouldn't be something you bother about because it comes in different dimensions. Our pains are struggles are also part of our purpose discovery process which never ends even when we leave this world. A member of the community just shared a testimony of how Episode 5 where i explained why we should go with flow encouraged and resonated so much with her as she almost committed suicide last year (2019) . This was for the Reality Check Segment In the Common Sense Rule Segment, i rant and also talk about people that have the habit of always straining their necks to see what you're doing on your phone when sitting beside you. There are also people that when you show them a picture/meme you came across while scrolling on social media, they collect the phone and continue to scroll. Sooo annoying! Lol! Ep 3: Utilize the Small Opportunities
In this episode, we look at the different ways we undermine ourselves and don’t go for what we want because we are waiting for a ‘big’ opportunity to come through. I also proffer solutions on how we can put ourselves out there regardless. In the Reality Check segment, a member of the community seeks help on how to ‘be’ and ‘stay’ content. (I kept saying 'consistent'. That was a mistake. Sorry about that!) Ever being told by someone you’re meeting after a long time that oh! You look fat or you’re so skinny? We correct that manner-less statement in the Common Sense Rule Segment. I hope you love it! Don't miss out on new episodes!
