Episode 104: I'm Never Getting Hurt Again (The Capacity to Care)

In this episode I talk about never getting hurt again, but I also discuss The Capacity to Care.

The enemy would love to distort our capacity to care, but God has always given us the capacity to care for what He desires us to care about.

Episode 103: Self Worth

Episode 103: Self Worth

In this episode I talk about self-worth. Many of us can struggle with this without realizing it. It can manifest as thoughts of not being good enough, focusing on our mistakes and viewing our value based upon performance. If you're struggling with self-worth you may not have an idea of when or where the seed was planted but it must be countered with Gods word. Below I list a few points and scriptures to identify and combat the feeling of inadequacy.

1 Peter 5:7 | amplified classic

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

God wants to care and watch over what we’re concerned about and He can do a way better job at it than we can.

Here are some takeaways for how to have victory over the feeling of inadequacy.

  1. Understand that God loves you
  2. Identify those thoughts when you struggle to love and accept yourself
  3. Counter those thoughts by speaking and Confessing Gods love over yourself
  4. Receive Gods love instead of performing for it
  5. Recognize that you’re Gods very own. He loves you and you’ve done nothing to deserve to feel inadequate.

God does not call us to attach our self worth to our things, our performance, or how much we accomplish in a day.

He calls us to recognize that we are loved, valued, and are enough as we are because we are created by Him and we are loved.

Confess This: Lord, Im loved, valued and enough as I am because I am created by You. I'm your work of art. I'm more than enough. I don't have to perform for your love because you love me perfectly.

Psalm 139:13-15

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.”

Luke 12:22-24

And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!”

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

1 John 3:16

“By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Genesis 1:27

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Episode 102: Self Care is Wealth Care

Episode 102: Self Care is Wealth Care

In this episode I talk about the importance of Self-Care. Self care is important especially for those of us that pour into others -which may be more of us than we realize. We can't pour out to anyone from an empty cup, so it's imperative that we pay attention to ourselves and when our tanks are on E.

The importance of self care

Self care is wealth care. There's value in our self care regimen so take time to evaluate and create a list of things that you do to care for yourself and refresh yourself on a regular basis.

If you don't have one, I encourage you to develop a self care maintenance plan

Episode 101: Guard Your Heart

Episode 101: Guard Your Heart

In today's dating world it can be hard to know who or who not to trust with our hearts. Past heartaches and heartbreaks can cause us to retract, withdraw and clamp up the heart that God has given us. However, I believe there's a right way to guard our hearts without allowing them to become callous or bitter in ways that the enemy would desire. In this episode we're going to go into Proverbs 4:23.

"Admit Date" | A Special Valentines Day Episode

"Admit Date" | A Special Valentines Day Episode

I want to speak to that person who desires to love and desires to be loved.

You desire to love someone unconditionally and you desire the same. And because you’ve been hurt and the purpose of your heart has been abused and culture or society has portrayed so many images of this failing concept included with your own experiences…. You start to feel like maybe your desires are abnormal…. Or dysfunctional…. Or wrong…. You start to think that something is wrong with you and like it’s wrong for you to feel that way or have those feelings…

Your desires aren’t wrong.

God loves you first.

Psalm 34:18

New International Version

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

I want to submit to you that you’re not. God not only gives us the desire to love, He also has given us the capacity to love. And your desire to love and to be loved is a healthy one. If God has given it to you, it’s purposeful. He is close to you!!!

Psalm 34:18

New International Version

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

It’s ok to desire, it’s not ok to require

It’s ok to desire someone that desires you!!!

But It’s not ok to require that love to feel happy or have joy

The desire that God has given you is a faithful one

The just shall live by faith

It takes FAITH to acquire the love that God has for you

Song of Solomon 2:7

New Living Translation

Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right.

There is a right time for the desire and love that God has given you

Philippians 4:6-7

New King James Version

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

It takes FAITH to trust something that you’ve seen fail so many times

Our requirement for Gods love should always outrank our desire for spousal love.

We serve a jealous God

Exodus 34:14

Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is jealous, is a jealous God

You can Require GOD and DESIRE Love AT THE SAME TIME

But it only comes with admitting

Gods heart hospital is only open to those who are willing to admit

You can only be admitted once you’re willing to “admit it”

You can only be admitted once you’re willing to “admit it”

You can only be admitted once you’re willing to “admit it”

The key word here is admit

Are you willing to admit that you’re hurting???

Only God -the spiritual surgeon can heal this….

We must admit… that we need to be admitted… into His heart hospital….♥️🏥

Psalm 34:18

New International Version

18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
