This is the first/intro episode to this new series The Wandering Pilgrims take a look at God’s sovereign providence throughout time, particularly relating to the founding of the United States of America. In this new series, we will take a look at how God’s plan unfolds through time, while taking special interest to discover if the the United States of America was founded as a Christian nation or a secular nation. We will begin by looking at the founders and signers of the Declaration of Independence, researching their lives from primary and secondary accounts whenever possible to get a clear picture of these men in their time and historical context. We will look at their beliefs and what they stated and claimed. In this special Christmas & history episode we review our trip to Old Salem,NC. We explored the historic town and discovered some of the history as well as Christmas traditions of the Moravians who settled there. The Moravians trace their roots back to pre-reformation reformer and martyr Jan Hus.
