Introduced by the new Director of Missions, Dr. Gregg Hauss - the night closed with a powerful message from guest speaker, Dr. Roc Collins, based in Romans 10. Dr. Roc Collins is the Strategic Objectives Director for the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board (TBMB). In that role, he oversees TBMB’s work related to evangelism, discipleship, church planting, church revitalization, Cooperative Program, and Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions giving initiatives. Join us for a celebration of Father's Day as we hear the stories of three men within our church body who are in various stages of fatherhood! First is Luke Watkins - a foster parent for 2 years and now father to his own 3 month old son. Next up is Brian Culver - father to 4 children ranging from 22 years old and newly married to 12 years old still in middle school. Last is Coy Jones - a father to a blended family, along with a daughter who has special needs. This was a touching service with some of our young men helping to lead worship and some great testimonies!

Pastor Ken continues our The Gospel-Centered Family series with a message on what the Bible says about adoption. One out of every 25 families in the United States has either adopted a child or has someone they know has adopted a child, so this a very topical conversation to have with the Church. First, he shares the definition of adoption and then discusses actual examples of adoption in the Bible. He also uses select scriptures to teach what God says about a Christian's responsibility to care for the orphan. Finally, he closes with the message of salvation through adoption into God's family - He is our Father and we are His sons!
