• The Only Thing You Can Control is the Song:
  You don’t control who shares it, likes it, or goes viral. You control the work. That’s it. Same with this podcast, same with any creative project.

• Don’t Let Your Fruit Rot:

This time, we’re talking about the other side of taking flight—landing the plane. Starting ideas is one thing, but knowing when (and how) to land them? That’s where the real game is.

Switch-it-up Steps:

• You Have to Land to Move On:
  If you never land, you can’t switch out passengers, refuel, or take a new trip. Finishing an idea—good or bad—lets you make space for what’s next.

• Emergency Landings Happen:
  Sometimes an idea isn’t working, and you have to bring it down fast. It’s not failure—it’s just knowing when to pivot before you crash.

• The Market Isn’t Always Ready:
  Not every landing gets clearance. Sketch and I jumped on Snapchat geofilters early, but the market wasn’t there yet. Sometimes the Arrivals Board says not yet—doesn’t mean never.

• Planes That Don’t Land Teach You More:
  We’ve taken off on plenty of projects that never landed. But those experiences make it easier to choose the right flights now—the ones that actually go the distance.

Taking off is exciting, but knowing how to land? That’s where real creators win.

• Pack What You Need:
  Every trip requires essentials. Same with your dream. You need time, funds, skills—whatever it takes to get off the ground.

• Fear of Flying:
  Just like some people are scared of flying, fear can hold you back from launching your idea. The unknown, the self-doubt—it’s real. But if you never take off, you’ll never know.

• Know Your Destination… or Don’t:
  Sometimes you know exactly where you want to go. Other times, you’re circling, waiting to commit. The key is to stop marinating and start moving.

• One Flight at a Time:
  You can’t board two planes at once. Every project, every dream—if you commit to one, you’re saying no to others. That’s part of the process.

• Get Your Boarding Pass:
  Maybe it’s an iPhone for recording. Maybe it’s an SD card. Whatever it is, make sure you have what you need to get started. And don’t forget your TSA check—whether it’s family support or just that personal green light to chase it.

• The Market is the Pilot:
  Once you’re in the air, you’re not fully in control. The market, the audience—they decide how far your idea flies. All you can do is go as high as possible and see where you land.

Eric and I have launched plenty of planes—some made it, some didn’t. But you never know until you take flight.
