We're back with another episode here on UA podcast bringing some reviews on a few TV shows that we have seen over the week. Starting with Love, Death, and Robots a series of short films ranging from science fiction, horror, to fantasy in various mediums. Then we talk about the newest episodes from 911 and 911: Lonestar talking about the recent cliff hangers and the multiple story lines happening to all the characters. Last we talk Alice in Borderland a netflix series of Japanese adaptation of a manga series of the same name. We talk about our thoughts about the series from the first episode and what we hope to see if we do decide to watch more. Some news as well that we've heard of the past week is given at the end.

Episode 26: Losers and the Last Bob Sponge
It is another Movie Monday here on UA.
Todays episode for MovieMondays includes Raya and the Last Dragon and the movie adaptation of The Losers from 2010 for you guys as well. Raya is another movie from Disney+ that came out last March and has a wonderful story with an aesthetic inspired from various southeast asian cultures. The Losers was an action/comedy with more action that came out back in 2010 and with an all star cast of actors has made a better version of The A-Team than The A-Team.

Episode 25: Sweet Home of the Resident Alien
How's everyone doing?!
UA here again with another Pop Culture Wednesday for the podcast listeners.
Today we are talking about two new shows we started watching that came out in the six months starting with Sweet Home. Sweet Home is a series on Netflix adapted from an online comic that has had our attention focused on it every single episode. The story follows Hyun-Soo who moves into an apartment complex in Korea after his family dies in a tragic car crash. The very next day he is attacked by a monster and we see him and the other apartment dwellers fight for there lives in this new world.
Then we talk about Resident Alien a new series that airs on the SyFy network starring Alan Tudyk as the unlucky alien who crash lands on Earth. Seeking his lost ship so that he can carry out his mission we get to see his unusual interactions with the towns inhabitants as he tries to fit in as a human. We gotta say this series is fun to watch and we get a chance to talk about what we think so far on the episode.

Episode 24: Finish Him...or Her! UA Wins...Flawless Victory
So we are back at again!
Starting off with Movie Mondays me and Cheyanne finally got a chance to watch the new Mortal Kombat movie. In this episode we decided to compare the new iteration of MK to the older one that was released in 1995 along with it's sequel. We give our opinions on what liked and did not like about each movie along with sharing what we noticed about the new MK and any easter eggs we caught.

It is Wednesday here on UA with another Pop Culture episode and today we talk some Netflix series added to the roster. First we talk about Shadow and Bone and it's fantasy/victorian/pirate/cowboy vibe that has caught our attention. Up after that is BNA an anime set in a world where humans and beastmen exist in a unstable relation of whose gonna get who. Hope you guys enjoy our 23rd episode.
Episode 22: Vin Diagram of Diesel the Riddick Version
Movie Mondays here on UA and we talk about one of Vin Diesel's notable characters, Riddick, and about the trilogy that followed his adventures as a criminal on the run. First we talk Pitch Black and the story of how we meet Riddick, then on to The Chronicles of Riddick seeing him advance his quest to be left the hell alone. Finally we talk about the third installment of Riddick named Riddick and his adventures on a planet with a killer monsoon season. We also start with some news we've found over the weekend that might be interesting to our listeners.

It is another Pop Culture Wednesday here on Understandably Awkward with our current opinions on Dr.Stone, Demon Slayer, and the 911 series. Dr. Stone being on it's second season we talk about our thoughts on how the show is and what we loved about the new season so far. Along with Demon Slayer which has been out for a bit and we haven't had a need to watch it until now with the movie being released soon. 911 and 911: Lonestar are back from a month hiatus with a new episode from both that kept us on our seat the whole time.

It's Friday and that means it's Freeform Friday and we talk about movie monsters that we wouldn't want to be stuck with. We choose from three categories of monsters like Aliens/Extraterrestrial, Supernatural, and Serial Killers/Slashers. Then Aasin talks about what he learned about Elon Musk through his assignment for his current class.

Hey UA here sorry we didn't upload this Monday but we're back at it again with another Pop Culture Wednesday. We talk about how the series finale of Superstore has left us with a missing piece of our awkward hearts and we talk about. We give you some Marvel news along with some DC news that...well more like theories but news. We hope you like this episode and we'll try to stay on track the best we can but life happens so we do the best we can.

It's Friday....actually it's Saturday but oh wells we still here talking about what we love to watch and telling our opinions. We talk about Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's unofficial trilogy with Edgar Wright and how Cheyanne is lame for not watching 2 of the 3 movies that are in the trilogy. We catch up on news on the interwebs with a few delays for movies on the especially the one's we're looking forward too.

Today we talk about thoughts on Nobody from Aasin and thoughts on Chaos Walking from Cheyanne. It's gonna be a short episode today since we watched these movies during out trip to Phoenix the land of scorching springtime.

We both have a combine 15 years of anime experience under out belt and we want to tell about how anime has effect our lives since the start. It's Wednesday my dudes and here on UA we talk about the live action Resident Evil movie being produced and released for late this year. We spend some time comparing it to the video game series of the same name and with W.S. Andersons series telling the story of Alice and here adventures through the zombie apocalypse. We get a little technical with the various viruses used in the all the series along with our thoughts on the cast for the 2021 movie. There is also a little blooper if you will at the end of the episode that you might not want to miss.
Episode 11: When... You Gotta Go!
It's Movie Monday again here on Understandably Awkward and we are excited this about the movies we watched over the weekend. We talk about #ALIVE a South Korean zombie movie that tells us about a MMORPG player and his journey through the end of the world in his apartment. Next we talk about A Silent Voice an anime that touches on the effects that bullying has on a person and how a guy overcomes his anxiety it to make amends with the girl he hurt. Last we talk about Monster Hunter the movie adaptation from the video game with the same name and how Mila Jovovich's character makes friends with the hunters of another world to fight an evil that threatens both worlds. It's Episode 10! Here on UA we talk about some upcoming seasons of various animes coming this later year, CDC's supposed guidelines for Zombies outbreaks. Along with a bit of news on a video game that Aasin is looking forward to involving his interest in throwing a D20 onto a table with no friends. It's a short episode this Wednesday as we wanted to take a spa day for our tired smooth brains, we'll see on Friday.

Today we got our first ever listener question that we try to answer with the best knowledge we have, spoiler it's about zombies. We move on to talking about the pros and cons of practical special effects and CGI effects for movies. We also talk about in our own words about how COVID has alter the way new movies are promoted comparing it to the pre-pandemic fashion of movie premiers.

Then we move on to Marvels upcoming streaming series ,after mention My Hero Academia, starting with WandaVision's finale and then Falcon and the Winter Solder's upcoming debut. We got some news we heard on the interwebs as will with Microsoft buying Zenimax Studios and the parent companies that are under their belt. We then move on to news about Fallout and it's adaptation to the small screen via Amazon...Prime. Fast and Furious is going for yet another, one last ride but not until June and then we get to see fast cars and bald heads. Some unrelated is brought up through our own awkward process of thinking. Episode 3: We Can't Run That Long, That's How You Know We're Related
So it's Friday and that means it is Freeform Friday here on Understandably Awkward which means we get to talk about the What if's and the technical questions of the pop culture universes. Today we talk about Zombies and what type we'd prefer to face, along with what we would do in the first day of the Apocalypse. Then we move on to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with what race is our favorite and what city we favor the most in the cold harsh lands of Skyrim. It's gonna be a short episode as we kind of couldn't think of what to talk about till 10 mins before we recorded this episode.
