Owning Your Business And Climbing The Ownership Mountain
The evolution of a PT practice is not unlike the development of a human being. The business starts small, in need of everything, like a baby, and hopefully, one day, it grows up to be a fully-fleshed and balanced adult. I call this journey the climb up the ownership mountain, and every business goes through it. So, how do you know if your PT practice is growing? Well, it’s all about who is in control of your traffic. Yes, believe it or not, whoever owns your traffic owns your business, whether it’s your past clients, the doctor who refers new leads to you, or your most loyal customers. If you’re not the one generating patient leads through marketing and sales strategies, then your business will never truly be yours and it will be stuck in childhood forever. This is exactly what I discuss in this week’s episode of Patients On Demand! So tune in to learn more about the ownership mountain, the stages of a business’s growth, and how you can truly own your PT practice! Key Takeaways The ownership mountain (00:00) The baby business owner (03:03) The toddler business owner (04:38) The teenage business owner (06:27) The adult business owner (08:57) Let us take you on this journey (11:12) Additional Resources Schedule a FREE call with Christine to discuss your business strategy https://bit.ly/2WEkPVv Register for Christine’s FREE SEO live training https://bit.ly/3rgl8ns

Find The Right Messaging
I have a pretty special episode for you all this week. I'm giving you an inside look at a private one on one coaching call! In this episode, I help my client determine what her patients need and want kind of rhetoric resonates with them. The words you use to play such a big role in bringing in patients, and if you do it right, you can reach a bigger audience than originally expected. If you're looking to finetune your message to attract the clients you want, then be sure to tune into this episode. Websites Are DEAD - Create an Online Employee for Your PT Business!
Websites are worthless. I know this sounds like a pretty bold claim but stick with me for a moment here. What I mean is, your average website just isn’t going to cut in anymore. Why? Because they only do one of four things- act as a resume, brochure, business card, and even just a page to pat you on the back. Having a site that solely focuses on your credentials and accomplishments does not bring patients through your doors. I get it. You’re proud of those things, and those credentials give you the confidence to know that you can treat patients and do a good job at it! But you know who doesn’t know those things? Your leads. They wouldn’t be able to differentiate the difference between a bachelor's and a doctoral in physical therapy. Those words mean nothing to them. So what should you do instead? PT’s should create online employees that help nurture visitors into patients. An online employee does the heavy lifting for you because it tells your prospective patients why YOU are the person for the job! Grab your notebook because I’m going to share with you precisely what you need to do to attract your next patients...even while you sleep. Key Takeaways: Why we are getting rid of websites (01:45) What most websites actually do (06:00) How you actually attract patients (08:20) You need an online employee (11:05) A website just doesn’t cut it anymore (13:20) Additional Resources Schedule a FREE call with Christine to discuss your business strategy here Register for Christine’s FREE SEO live training here

What Type of PT Website Is Right for YOUR Business?
Do you cringe when you find out someone has visited your website? Or maybe you don't even have one at all! You're proud of your growing business, but your web presence just doesn't showcase everything you have to offer. I think we all have been there at some point on another. Many, mostly new business owners, feel like they are not represented properly online. You deserve to feel confident in your business's marketing. And what you may not even realize is that all PT businesses DO NOT need the same website. A private practice owner with less than two years of experience, making under six figures, or not operating at a full schedule requires a different type of website than practice owners who are farther along. Today, I'm going to walk you through exactly what you need to put your best foot forward no matter where you are in business. Who should you market to online? This may be the most challenging question that you'll face as a  growing entrepreneur. Because the perfect patient is not about you. How to Improve Your Marketing Message (Inspired by My Husband's Latest Book!)
Sometimes we find business and marketing advice in the most unlikely of places! I was recently reading the first few chapters of the latest book my husband is working on when I was hit with some fantastic insights. Although his book has nothing to do with business and is entirely fiction he illustrated one of the biggest marketing mistakes that I see so many clinic owners make. It's a messaging problem. When people start their businesses, they are inspired by their passion rather than their clients' needs. Passion is great and essential, but it's also vital to be as direct and straightforward as possible. To build a following and client base, we have to say the things our customers want to hear, not just what appeals to us. In addition to that, we have to commit to a niche. This is incredibly hard in a private practice setting when you're taught everything under the sun while in school. But if you want your business to fit your lifestyle, you have to have a specific ideal client in mind. I'm going a little more in-depth on this topic in this episode, and I suggest you tune in so that you can make your marketing message as crystal clear as possible! Key Takeaways: Many business owners struggle to get their message across (01:46) One of their first choices clinic owners can and should make (04:50) Why you shouldn’t work against human nature (05:50) Doing everything is not a good marketing strategy (09:00) How you know you’ve perfected your message (11:20) This is when the magic started happening in my business (12:00)

3 Ways To Get New Patients During COVID
One of the biggest things I've learned in life is that crisis creates opportunity. As you all know, the last several months of life have been unpredictable, to say the least. We've all had to adapt and adjust in unexpected ways, and if you're running a business, then you've had to do that tenfold. For a lot of private practice owners, the Coronavirus has been a shock to the system. The extreme shift of seeing and helping patients to shutting their doors completely has left many at a loss on what to do next. There is no guidebook on the right thing to do, but I wanted to take some time and offer some hope and actionable advice you can utilize in your own business. Some of the clients we've worked with have used the COVID crisis actually to get more new patients. Their ingenuity has taken a bad situation into an opportunity to serve their community better and grow their business. The three significant areas they have addressed are as follows: Looking for gaps in communities Taking online content such as workshops and teaching materials to create webinars and generate leads Critically looking at their website to see if there are areas that can be improved to attract leads better Tune into this week's episode to learn how you can implement these strategies in your business! Key Takeaways: Crisis creates opportunity (1:08) A creative way to serve your community (4:35) Why you should meet people where they’re at (7:03) Take advantage of your online storefront (8:24) Three ways these bad times can be turned into good (9:53) Additional Resources Schedule a FREE call with Christine to discuss your business strategy here

5 Things You Should NOT Be Doing to Become a Private Practice Owner
Welcome back to another episode of Patients On Demand! Today, I’m tackling a topic that is pretty difficult for a lot of entrepreneurs. As new business owners, we’re stuck in the position of doing everything to get the business up and running smoothly. In a sense, it’s totally a superpower. But it can also hold us back from growing and scaling our business. The truth is, to build, a business owner must figure out what they shouldn’t be doing. It might seem counterintuitive at first, but hear me out! Recently, my husband and I did something pretty crazy. We bought and sold a house in just twelve days. It was a complete spur of the moment opportunity, and we decided to jump on it. After reflecting on the experience, we both agreed it was the hardest we’ve EVER worked. Yes, even harder than spending all those nights as an entrepreneur burning the midnight oil. It turns out that getting a house ready for sale AND under a quickly-approaching time constraint worked us to our limitations. But it turned out to be an incredible learning experience for me. I learned the vital lesson of outsourcing. All I wanted to do during the move were tasks like changing the light bulb covers. The thought of organizing and packing up my office was way less appealing. But the truth was, only I could do that task. Anyone could paint a cabinet and change a bulb cover. If we wanted to get everything done in time, I would have to get comfortable delegating tasks. The same goes for your business. As a private practice owner, you’re not going to be able to juggle seeing patients and being a fully functional CEO. They are two separate positions. You’re going to have to choose. It’s not easy, but if you’re committed to growing your business, you will have to decide the things you will and won’t do. Today, we’re discussing five things you should not be doing if you’re dedicated to becoming a private practice owner. Key Takeaways: Something crazy I’ve done recently (1:40) An entrepreneur’s secret power (3:10) Figure out what you don’t need to do (5:45) The five things to give up doing (7:05) The things you should be doing (14:24) A decision you have to make (16:21) Additional Resources Schedule a FREE call with Christine to discuss your business strategy here

How To Create Time Freedom
In this episode of Patients On-Demand, we will talk about how to get time freedom while running your own private practice. If you’re anything like me, then you went into private practice with the belief and excitement that you’d have more free time due to owning your schedule. Well, entrepreneurial life can set you up for a rude awakening if you let it. I instead found myself more strapped for time than I’d ever been before! Through organized planning and taking inventory of my personal and professional priorities, I’ve been able to create a business that works for me and allows me to spend my time how I see fit. I want the same for you. The mantra I’ve adopted is that process precedes freedom. It’s True! You Can Get New Patients From Your Website: Flashback | Episode 1
One of the reason PTs, Chiropractors, Concierge Doctors, & other private practices owners struggle to grow their businesses is because they forget to leverage the most important tool available today - the internet. Often overlooked as “just another piece of marketing”, your clinic’s website is actually the entire foundation of your business. It’s your storefront in today’s online world. If you’re not using it to get new patients, you’re losing not just $$$ but also the opportunity to change peoples’ lives who are struggling with their health. I’m Christine Walker, best-selling author, cash-based PT, and affectionally called “The Website Wizard” (even though my husband says I’m more of a witch). I’ve helped hundreds of healthcare business owners across the globe transform their websites for more patients and more profit. Join me today as I recount my story from website flop to winning success as I’m interviewed by my close friends, Alex Engar & Will Boyd. ***** Check out Christine’s No. 1 Best-Selling Website Book www.ptwebsitesecrets.com/book
