Weekly AEW News Kick 2021 Awards Nominations
Welcome to the Weekly AEW News Kick awards nominations show. Over the next 15 minutes, our glamorous host Tom will be breaking down all the nominees for our totally objective awards show.
"Professional Dot-to-Dot." AEW Dynamite Review - 8th September 2021
In lieu of an All Out review, Tom and Jack, in their infinite professionalism, talk about one of the best Pay-Per-Views in recent memory before launching into their weekly Dynamite review, which includes a savage promo from MJF, a less savage promo from Dan Lambert, and a main event that featured an unforgivable transgression.
AEW Rampage: The First Dance Review - 20th August 2021
On our most anticipated episode of Rampage Review yet (out of the two we've had), Tom and Patrick discuss the debut that has the entire wrestling world talking. They cover just why this moment was so special, discuss how the debutant transcended wrestling and became a symbol for frustrated fans worldwide and excitedly contemplate their future opponents. Man, Kiera Hogan sure is something.
"Punkmas Eve." AEW Dynamite Review - 18th August 2021
Liam joins Tom and Jack for another edition of W.A.N.K., in which topics of conversation include: awkward accents, Lance Archer's bad luck, and big beautiful asses. Plus plenty of high octane action as all the matches from Dynamite are reviewed, including one MOTY candidate for Tom...
"Take My Strong Hand." AEW Rampage Review - 13th August 2021
It's our first Rampage review and Tom and Patrick are ready and willing to dive into a brand new weekly show from AEW, and find the answers to all your burgeoning questions, including; Do too many cooks botch the broth when it comes to announce desks? What is the future of the women's division? And is Britt Baker still a heel? So get ready to fit another shot of WANK goodness into your week, because just like Pfizer, we've got a second dose for you.
"Brittsburgh." AEW Dynamite Review - 11th August 2021
The boys are back once more as AEW rolls through Dr. Britt Baker DMD's hometown of Pittsburgh. Tune in to hear the tantalising trio of Tom, Patrick and Jack discuss the highs and lows of Dynamite, as well as start a totally legitimate feud with WrestleTalk. Also, in light of another wave of WWE releases, Patrick and Jack go head-to-head in another heated game of Sign or Decline.
AEW Dynamite Homecoming Review - 4th August 2021
W.A.N.K. returns to your airwaves as AEW returns to Daily's Place for Homecoming. Liam joins the boys as Tom realises he seems to be the only person in the world who enjoyed Chris Jericho's Third Labour, Jack crowns a match "The Perfect Squash", and Liam talks about his cat. At least he's not talking about light incest this time.
AEW Dynamite Fight For The Fallen Review - 28th July 2021
Your favourite threesome is back as the boys discuss yet another special edition of Dynamite, this time in the form of Fight for the Fallen. The boys are here with a basket full of hot takes as Tom names a certain entrance his Holy Sh*t moment of the year so far, Jack attempts to convert a non-fan with disastrous consequences, and Patrick gets himself banned from Belgium. Also, which wrestler would look like Paul Heyman if they let themselves go? Join us on another car crash through the week of wrestling to find out.
AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest: Night 2 Review - 21st July 2021
The lads are back to discuss Fyter Fest Night 2, as Chris Jericho faces his first labor, and Jon Moxley defends the IWGP US Championship against everyone's favourite Murderhawk. There's a surprise debut or two and the boys discuss Slammiversary, Money in the Bank, and two rumoured signings for AEW set to shake wrestling to it's very core.
AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest: Night 1 Review - 14th July 2021
This week on W.A.N.K., Tom and Patrick are joined by frequent gatecrasher of the show, Huw of the Western Bias podcast, to discuss the first night of Fyter Fest. Among the topics of conversation are the redesigned TNT title, which Pokemon Brandon Cutler embodies, and how long the Fyter Fest brand can remain relevant. Tom nitpicks the finish of the Darby Allin and Ethan Page match, and Huw shows his enthusiasm for the rumoured Wrestlemania 38 main event.
AEW Dynamite Road Rager Review - 7th July 2021
We're back after a short hiatus, but Dynamite on the road is back from a longer one, as AEW make their return to touring with Road Rager! We're talking mixed tag double standards, Elite drama, and Excalibur's uncanny ability to know people's new ring names. So settle in, buckle your seatbelts, and join Tom and Patrick for a truly raging W.A.N.K.!
"I Don't Want To Play With You Anymore." AEW Dynamite Review - 26th June 2021
Jack takes over hosting duties in Tom's absence to talk about a special edition of Saturday Night Dynamite with W.A.N.K co-host Patrick, and for the first time ever...W.A.N.K editor in chief (and our resident American) James. Jack, Patrick & James discuss where the Inner Cirle vs Pinnacle feud is going, a mahoosive world title match between Kenny "by God" Omega & Jungle Boy/Man, and whether 10% off Jade Cargill merch on ShopAEW is worthy of 2 minutes screen time...spoiler alert, it's not!
"elidolopenis.com" AEW Dynamite Review - 18th June 2021
The golden trio is back to discuss the last scheduled Friday episode of Dynamite featuring the debut of Brock Anderson under the watchful eye of the bleach blonde head of the Nightmare Factory nepotism machine, and an MMA fight with 3 rounds but no judges. In non-AEW news, the boys talk briefly about the matches from Hell in a Cell, and extensively about it's subtitles on Peacock.
AEW Dynamite Live Watchalong - 11th June 2021
The resident brothers of destruction are temporarily buried alive, so the Icelandic subgroup Patrick and Huw are in charge of creative, and bring you something a little different; a live watchalong. No edits and therefore no scandals! In theory, anyway. So rewind your VHS recording of this week's Dynamite and hit the play button together with us to get a live discussion about how Elizabeth Olsen is a better actress than her twin sisters... oh, and some wrestling chat.
"Alexa, Play Tarzan Boy." AEW Dynamite Review - 4th June 2021
The boys have that Friday feeling; unfortunately that feeling was disappointment as AEW continues its run of poor Friday shows. Jack, Tom and Patrick discuss the recent WWE releases, a big star debuts, and Tom assigns Patrick a new surname.
AEW Double or Nothing 2021 Review
It's Double or Nothing time so why not roll this dice and tune in to W.A.N.K., you have nothing to lose but your time and dignity. Tom, Patrick, and Gimmick Griffin are here and reviewing the first PPV with a full crowd in over a year. Also, the boys debate putting out a nude calendar. We can't promise it'll be as exciting as a 62 year old wrestler taking off his shirt, but we'll have some laughs.
"Fish Bump." AEW Dynamite Review - 12th May 2021
New Jersey Appreciation Week is postponed as the boys call a war council in response to a declaration from Cody. Offending promo aside, it was a stacked Dynamite, but did it live up to expectations? Three titles are defended and companies collide, as the stakes are set for Double or Nothing. Also, Tom announces W.A.N.K.'s first ever giveaway!
AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts Review - 5th May 2021
Tom and Jack are in the house for a review of AEW's take on a classic. But before they contemplate the carnage there's still plenty to talk about, including some big news about Double or Nothing, and another visit to the QT Meter™. Also, another promotion puts on an incredible MOTY contender. Who could it be? It's NJPW obviously, we're not gonna insult your intelligence.
"Three Best Friends." AEW Dynamite Review - 28th April 2021
Reunited and it feels so good. Due to some technical difficulties, the W.A.N.K team recorded late this week. On the bright side, it means Tom, Jack and Patrick's schedules aligned to bring you this episode of nothing but OGs. The lads cover an intense face-off between the Inner Circle and the Pinnacle ahead of their clash next week, lament submissions being applied in unnecessary places and finish it off with a lesson on German pornography. No prizes for guessing who was responsible for that.
"Emo Facepaint Daddy." AEW Dynamite Review - 21st April 2021
Brace yourselves for the storm. Liam is back in the studio as everyone's favourite familial bather joins Tom and Jack to give their takes on another week of Dynamite action. Jericho and MJF trade verbal blows but who came out on top this week? Tom talks to himself about TJPW because nobody will watch with him, and Alex Abrahantes claims Sue's minivan's been rocking. Two titles were also defended; the AEW Women's Championship, and some belt held by Darby Allin that's not oval. Penta says you don't wanna miss this.
"Stonk Suck." AEW Dynamite Review - 14th April 2021
Huw from the Western Bias Podcast (briefly) joins Tom and Patrick in Jack's absence to talk about an almost perfect match and Wrestlemania Weekend. Tom and Patrick also discuss Darby Allin's invincibility and whether Tay Conti is ready for the grandest prize of them all; a tiny oval belt.
"BAH GAWDZILLA!" AEW Dynamite Review - 7th April 2021
It's a little quieter in the W.A.N.K studio without Patrick so Tom takes it upon himself to fill the silence with his new favourite song. Also the boys talk about some wrestling, including Jack's weekly QT Marshall update and a hall of fame promo from one of the best to ever pick up a microphone. But enough about Max Caster, Jericho was pretty good as well.
"Apple Sharts." AEW Dynamite Review - 31st March 2021
It's April Fool's Day and our prank is that we're still here. Join the boys for some tomfoolery as they review Christian Cage's first singles match in seven years, recap another incredible AEW gimmick match (as well as a big return) and have a change of heart about QT Marshall. Sort of. Not really. It's a start.
"Destructive Dingaloos." AEW Dynamite Review - 24th March 2021
The boys have just about recovered from their hangovers to bring you this farm fresh edition of W.A.N.K. and it's a doozy. Orange Cassidy's new entrance music is scrutinised, AEW breaks a promise, Patrick makes it through an entire Tay Conti match without saying something inappropriate, Jack is strangely optimistic about QT Marshall, and NJPW is bringing spousal assault back to wrestling with a bang. We can guarantee that you'll love this episode more than Britt Baker loves Britt Baker...and if you don't, you get your money back! (Disclaimer: W.A.N.K. has no authority to refund streaming platform subscriptions, and no money to do so after Tom spent our entire budget on a 5 second jingle).
AEW Dynamite St. Patrick's Day Slam Review - 17th March 2021
The drinks are on us as the boys get more drunk than Adam Page on a long weekend at a lawnmower festival, all in the name of entertainment of course. The lads discuss bizarre booking choices, MJF's new faction, and are treated to an all-time classic lass battle on the special St. Patrick's Day episode of Dynamite. Get the beers in and drink along, you won't regret it. OK you probably will, but what else were you going to do tonight?
"Sixty-Nine Me, Don." AEW Dynamite Review - 10th March 2021
It's the fallout from Revolution and the tasty trio are here to give their explosive takes on topics including: AEW's explanation for the botch heard around the world, Sting returning to his old ways, a war council with more twists than a film from M Night Shabbawabbakayfabe, and perhaps the two, count it, TWO funniest moments we've ever witnessed on Dynamite. All of which pales in comparison to the main event of Tom unveiling the new jingle for our "Less Important Shows" segment. Dry hump your loved one, it's about to kick off.
AEW Revolution 2021 Review
As our supreme leader Tom takes time off to recover from third degree sparkler burn, the Ginger-German tag team of Jack and Patrick take the reigns in our first ever PPV talk. Did the boys make it through the podcast before the timer ran out, or did Tom return in glorious face turn to save the day? Spoiler alert, he didn't, Tom's not on the episode, we mean it.
AEW Dynamite The Crossroads Review - 3rd March 2021
Our friend Huw from the Western Bias podcast joins Tom and Patrick once again to dissect the go home show to Revolution, and more importantly, bear the brunt of a long-awaited Shaq Attack which was not nearly as painful as first feared. Beyond that, the boys discuss absentee headliners, the in-ring return of Tully Blanchard, and a bizarre choice for the main event. So brace yourself for another couple of hours of takes coming at you faster than a Red Velvet kick combo.
Special Revolution Preview Episode
Join Tom, Patrick and Huw ahead of AEW Revolution as they speculate about the surprises that await on AEW's biggest night of 2021 so far.
"Worst. Episode. Ever." AEW Dynamite Review - 24th February 2021
Ok, it wasn't the worst episode of Dynamite ever, but the boys sure have a bone to pick with it. From naming and shaming unearned pushes to writing off the entire first hour of Dynamite, we're taking no prisoners. It wasn't all doom and gloom though as Tom pitches his script for the next Fast and Furious movie, and the implications of Paul "Large Event" Wight signing for AEW are discussed. Also, Sting and Darby actually did stuff again, so that's progress.
"I Like Pirates." AEW Dynamite Review - 17th February 2021
Pat's back as the boys review a jam-packed Dynamite featuring another stellar women's match and the Young Bucks defending their tag team championships against the Inner Circle's B-Team. Tom's crusade against Austin Gunn continues, Jack loses the ability to even acknowledge Luther, and Patrick shares his fondness for nautical attire. At least there's one kind of booty he's still allowed to talk about.
"Bathing with my Family." AEW Dynamite Review - 10th February 2021
With Patrick taking the week off, special guest Liam takes up his duties. How well do the boys cope without their sensible German to keep them on track as they recap this week's Dynamite? About as well as you would expect. The lads talk Inner Circle spats, hot tubs, contract law, hot tubs and the neverending nightmare that is the Darby Allin/Sting and Team Taz feud. And hot tubs. So sit back and listen to wrestling's most questionable podcast sink to new depths of unprofessionalism. It, quite literally, all ends in tears.
AEW Dynamite Beach Break Review - 3rd February 2021
Rejoice, he has risen. The red menace is back as Jack returns to W.A.N.K. with a vengeance and a renewed confidence to stage a one-man mutiny against Tom's tyrannical rule as lead host. In wrestling news the lads reflect on the fallout from Beach Break, and there's a lot to talk about. With a wedding, a kidnapping and a gamechanging finish to the show, we couldn't help but get this episode up early. Don't say we never treat you.
"Röhrenfernseher." AEW Dynamite Review - 27th January 2021
It's a dark day for the W.A.N.K. podcast, as our favourite coppertop Jack takes a week off. But never fear, a replacement is here! Huw from the Western Bias podcast joins Patrick and Tom to discuss the goings-on in Jacksonville, including another good showing from the girls, a Bullet Club reunion, Sting's identity crisis (is he a hoodlum or not?) and more Jungle Boy...which is never a bad thing!
"Take Marvez to Dungeon." AEW Dynamite Review - 20th January 2021
It's episode 3 of W.A.N.K. and we're still going strong. The boys discuss all the ins and outs of Dynamite, including an enticing Inner Circle throwdown, as well as a dream debut for a former NXT freshman, and Tom's favourite alpha female sees action. In non-Dynamite shenanigans, Tom and Jack review Impact Wrestling's Hard to Kill, Patrick fights censorship, and the boys play a game. Yes, we have games now.
Weekly AEW News Kick 2020 Awards

Over the course of the episode we will reveal our favourite wrestlers, matches and moments that made 2020 a little more tolerable, as well as discussion about our winners. AEW Dynamite New Year's Smash Part 2 Review - 13th January 2021
It's Part 2 of New Years Smash and Part 2 of our podcast covering AEW's special Dynamite double! Darby Allin defends the TNT title against Brian Cage as Tom, Patrick and Jack debate exactly how long they've been feuding. In addition, Patrick tries to get us cancelled by roping Tom into a sensitive discussion about Tay Conti, the boys complain about Matt Hardy some more, and one wrestler has a new (old) theme. Alexa, play Tarzan Boy.
AEW Dynamite New Year's Smash Part 1 Review - 6th January 2021
It's the premiere episode of W.A.N.K, the Weekly AEW News Kick. We may not have the formation of the Inner Circle like the first episode of Dynamite, but history is made as Tom, Patrick and Jack team up for the first time to take on topics ranging from fake neck wounds to ginless juice. So grab the tag rope and join us for what will hopefully be the first of many reviews of AEW Dynamite, New Years Smash Part 1!
