Episode 40: How's it going, shorty
Happy New Year! The girls are back having survived the holidays and are ready and raring to detail their media diets from last year and in the new year. They discuss whats going on in their lives including some changes going on for both of them and then jump right into the episode, discussing some of the films they are looking forward to seeing soon, and the media they have been consuming recently. Topics include Search Party, Landscapers, The Orange Years: The Nickelodeon Story and Spirited Away among other things. Go forth and listen!
Episode 39: Time To Shine
The girls are back this episode after a short break for the holidays. Kristen was having a rough day at the time of recording but Ella was celebrating their new job dog walking. The girls jump right on into the flow of things and start discussing their media diet, which this week includes Arcane, Pig, It's Always Sunny and the podcasts and audio media they've been consuming.
Episode 38: Right Out The Gate
This episode the girls are back from their trip to Salem, MA for Halloween. After experiencing what was essentially Christmas on Halloween by celebrating spooky times in Salem, the girls are in good spirits and ready to discuss their media diets for the time they were away. They discuss a particularly emotional episode of Grey's Anatomy, Brand New Cherry Flavor, Dune, and No Time To Die among the many topics they cover.
Episode 37: This Ain't Heaven
Episode 36: Get Your Kicks
This episode, the girls run through their honorable mentions to discuss the main film that they watched together, Candyman (2021). They discuss the film and what they thought of the new take on the story of the film verses the old series.
Episode 35: Go For A Dive
The girls are doing okay this week. Not bad, but not great either. Ella received some surprising news and might require a surgery down the road, though they have some time to decide whether they want to pursue that route. Kristen discusses a rumor about a possible COVID infection in her school, but is otherwise not concerned. The girls then jump right into their honorable mentions/shout outs before they discuss their main topic, The Suicide Squad.

This minisode comes after the girls decided to take a week off so Ella could prepare for their camping trip. Deciding to do a mixed episode, the girls discuss things going on in their lives, birthdays and some of the shows they've been watching or media they've been consuming.

Episode 34: Looking For More
This episode the girls dive right in, and get to their honorary mentions before they cover their top three for the week. Ella surprises Kristen by not choosing completely dark media to consume this time, even choosing to watch Summer of Soul. Meanwhile Kristen continues to discuss her journey with the tome that is Stephen King's IT, and her new obsession with the 2003 Peter Pan movie. Minisodes resume this week so be ready to go forth and listen!
Episode 33: Just A Memory
This episode, the girls have had it with everything and everybody, but are happy to dive right in to the show instead of taking about it. They discuss Loki again, since Ella has watched it, the Disney movie Luca, the literal tome that is the book IT, and Ella gives a special shout out to a certain new song by Megan Thee Stallion. This episode has been delayed in posting due to the Independence Day holiday in the U.S. The girls were partying too hard.
Minisode 3
This minisode, the girls discuss the Britney Spears situation concerning her conservatorship and her reproductive rights, as well as general reproductive rights, birth control, the Duggars and the cult they are apart of as well as the girls' own family plans. They also decide to call the minisodes "minnesodas" after Minnesota. No, they were not drunk.
Episode 32: Shades of Blue
This week finds the girls dealing with some challenges in their personal lives, but doing their best. Ella takes a moment to talk about mental health before the girls dive right in to their media consumption for the week. Both have honorable mentions that they discuss then get into their respective top threes, which include Loki, Into The Night, Disney shorts and the podcast The Butterfly Effect.

This minisode, Kristen and Ella discuss working stuff out in therapy, Kristen's new job, finishing Fargo and vision board planning.
Episode 31: Not Quite Done
This episode the girls waste no time and get into their top threes of media they've been consuming. Kristen talks Amphibia, Cruella and Pink's documentary film All I Know So Far. Meanwhile Ella discusses the documentaries Why Did You Kill Me?, Sons of Sam and the Even The Rich podcast episodes on the Getty family.
Minisode 1
Episode 30: Feeling Kinda Flirty
This episode the girls start off by celebrating Ella officially graduating and finishing her Masters (as well as Kristen getting her Masters from last year). Things go a bit differently this episode as the girls have decided to shake things up a bit by changing the format of the show slightly. Ella reverts back to the old format by discussing her media for this week; Moonlight, Scanners and another movie they were less than thrilled to watch. Meanwhile Kristen sticks to the assignment and gives her top three media of the week which includes a Rick and Morty re-watch (since season 5 is coming soon) and the old HBO show In Treatment. Next week the girls will be debuting their minisode episode - which will be a shorter, loosey goosey version of these longer episodes. Be sure to tune in when it drops next Sunday.
Episode 29: Feelin' Divine
This episode finds the girls very salty about how the Oscars ended. Beyond discussing that particular disaster, the girls are in good moods and ready to dive right into their media and podcasts for the week. Kristen discusses The Mitchells VS. The Machines and Shadow and Bone while Ella talks about their experience watching Sound of Metal as a Hard of Hearing person as well as an old trashy reality tv show named Bad Girls Club. They discuss their top 3 (or top 2 in Kristen's case) podcasts, which feature some new shows for Ella.
Episode 28: Feeling Great
This episode finds the girls doing well, and ready to get into things. After an attempt to pop some bubbly to celebrate being a podcast for a year, Ella describes some of the new-ish things going on in their life, such as her car and washer/dryer machine. Kristen has been watching a lot of Oscar related media like Minari and Sound of Metal, while Ella discusses, Nomadland, the Oscar nominated movies they have seen as well as the ones they want to see. For their top 3 podcasts, Kristen sticks to her theme and Ella branches out of their usual listens for a few new shows. There's an important Irish-related correction corner this episode and Ella talks about deleting their Facebook account. Episode 27: Volume At Eleven
This episode the girls are ready and raring to go. Ella decides to do something special for Kristen regarding the media they consumed for this week, while Kristen revisits some old favorites. They discuss, Promising Young Woman now that Ella has watched it, as well as Soul, Orphan Black and Infinity Train among other media. The show is coming up on its first anniversary! Let the girls know you want them to continue the good work by leaving them a review in honor of their first anniversary as a podcast! Episode 26: Get Your Fix
This episode the girls are both excited to share what they've been watching and consuming media-wise. The one year anniversary of the podcast is coming up and the girls are working on how they can celebrate. In the meantime, they discuss Malcolm and Marie, the ending of WandaVision and what the future holds for the series, the documentaries Allen v Farrow and Seaspiracy, Yes Day, as well as their top three podcasts for this episode.
Episode 25: Springtime Drive
This episode the girls have spring fever (even if it's only false spring in NY), Ella is enjoying driving in their family's new car and ordering her cap and gown for graduation while Kristen is getting ready to get vaccinated (Ella already got their first dose). Kristen and Ella discuss WandaVision now that Ella started watching it, Judas and The Black Messiah, and Raya And The Last Dragon as well as both their top 3 podcasts for this episode.
Episode 24: Hit The Floor
This episode the girls (having nothing major happening in their lives at the moment to discuss), are eager to jump into the media they've been consuming, such as WandaVision, Infinity Train, Silence of the Lambs and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Kristen's podcasts and media are related to a theme this week while Ella did their usual round of random media. Episode 23: Come and See
This episode, the girls dive right in and discuss some of the media they've been watching (Fargo, Groundhog Day, Russian Doll and Palms Springs) and the podcasts they've been listening to. For Kristen this means a theme is involved, meanwhile Ella discusses some podcasts she hasn't mentioned in a while as well as some recommendations for Black History Month. This episode, the girls waste no time and dive right into their shows, movies, and podcasts, but not before Ella drops some big news. They discuss WandaVision, the movie Gretel & Hansel, Bridgerton, and Fargo (which means the girls both bust out their best Minnesotan accents).
