Volume 5: Episode 8 (Rants, Retros and the Rumble)
It is a month into 2023 already with plenty for Steve, Joey and Jeff to talk about. Aside from pick-ups, they discuss the Titans taking over for the Justice League, Hasbro laying off Employees, Marvel Legends choice of character releases and the Scream VI trailer. Steve and Joey reflect on the loss of wrestler Jay Briscoe. Jeff also shares which AEW trading card he protects most (much to Steve's disgust) and then its onto Royal Rumble predictions. But it isn't WGC without riffs, jabs, and hot takes so turn up the volume and dive in for 90 minutes of these nerds with attitude
Volume 5: Episode 7 (Top Trios for 2022: WGC Favorites)
"Go big or go home and WGC does both with a banger of an extra special episode to close out 2022. From what's hitting the shelves and clearance pricing to News, Pick-Ups, Christmas gift additions (like Jeff's absurd amount for a 38 year old) right to their Top 3 Toys of 2022 along with Honorable Mentions and Least Favorites. If that's not all, for old times, Jeff and Steve come to blows once again over Hayden Chistensen. All the humor, laughs, jabs, jokes and attitude you come to expect are here with some other surprises in between! HAPPY NEW YEAR."
Volume 5: Episode 6 ("A WGC Christmas Story")
"Christmas time is here and Steve, Joey and Jeff are full of Holiday cheer. In this jam-packed special, the boys cover the cancellation of the DCEU, increased prices, the SCREAM VI teaser, their pre-Christmas hauls and the rise in independent Action Figure companies. The Main Event switches gears to take a sleigh ride down childhood memory lane when the three reflect back on their fondest Christmas morning finds ranging from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. So pour your Eggnog, take a shot of JD, and enjoy this delightful range of Geek banter, bickering, Dad jokes and dirty innuendoes. Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season!"
Volume 5: Episode 5 {In Full X-Force}
"For this episode, the X-genes are flowing strong for Jeff and Steve as they are Beast-deep in their nostalgia trip of all things X-Men with talks on the various Animated series, toys, video games and upcoming Marvel Legends. As Joey becomes a Student for Gifted Youngsters, he also shifts universes to remember the late Kevin Conroy. Tom Holland, Kelsey Grammar, Uber Eats for Toys, Princess Leia figures and more make for an exciting yet chill trip down memory lane to out the convo between three friends enveloped in their world of Geekery."
Volume 5: Episode 4 (In Darkest Days...)
"Goodbye October and Hello November for Steve, Joey and Jeff as they share new pick-ups such as Jeff's Classic Star Trek Anniversary figures. But it's Green Lantern who lights the final frontier for Joey as he dishes on the new series announced. Jeff and Steve clash over Halloween Ends. The Rock's movies, Henry Cavill's return, Saw X and continuously crummy kitbashed Hasbro releases all make for Geek fodder to round out this episode."
