Guided Underworld Meditation Journey

Guided Underworld Meditation Journey

A Guided Meditation for Spring Rebirth & Renewal with MK

Journey through the heart, into the Underworld and return renewed...

This meditation will take you through your heart, to the tender parts– some may call this our Underworld. In the Underworld, we face our shadows, our fears. This meditation journey will guide you through the darkness and back to the light, where you will be re-birthed, ready to come back to the topside world with new wisdom and understanding of feelings and experiences you have kept in the dark.

Challenging feelings or memories may arise for you during this journey. Allow them the space to exist. Cry if you need to, scream if you need to, move your body if you need to.

For this practice, it is best to begin lying on your back in a comfortable position. Grab a blanket, pillows or whatever you may need to be comfortable before you get started. When you are ready scan the QR Code for your recording of the Underworld Journey Guided Meditation.

Ep. 9: Slowing Down: When “Productivity” is Not So Productive + Coming Home to Nature, Primitive Skills and Animal Tracking with Zach Fisher

Ep. 9: Slowing Down: When “Productivity” is Not So Productive + Coming Home to Nature, Primitive Skills and Animal Tracking with Zach Fisher

In this episode Zach guides us through many different topics from being an artist to animal tracking, to sit spots and primitive skills. But within each of these topics there is one main thread: slowing down. He reminds us to go back to pause and move forward at a slower pace with more intention, returning to our roots, to nature and all of the lessons we can learn when we slow down and exist alongside of nature rather than outside of it, that primitive skills— making a bow, starting a fire, primitive cooking— are our birthrights, we are apart of the Earth and so much more. Personally this conversation lit up so many deeper parts of myself, igniting my primal roots that yearn to run barefoot through forests and streams, far removed from our modern society. But Zach also reminds us that we are not exempt to the rules of nature and all that we have created is natural in its own way as well.

MEET ZACH FISHER

Zach Fisher is a Wilderness Educator, Adventure Guide, and Artist living and teaching in the Hudson Valley, NY. Originally from San Francisco, CA, he made his way to the East Coast in pursuit of a career in the Arts only to be redirected to Tom Brown Jr and the Tracker Survival School in the Pine Barrens of NJ. Since then, he has developed a career as a practitioner and educator of Primitive Technology and Survival Skills, a seasoned Outdoor Guide, as well as a painter and musician. He is fully obsessed with the interconnectedness of living in deep connection with nature and expressing that experience through Art. His goal as a teacher is to foster a profound understanding and appreciation for our wild landscapes and the lives that they encompass. By sharing these experiences, he feels that we can not only shift our perspectives, but also our relationship to ourselves as an integral part of the natural world.

Ep 8: Behind the "Trends": A Deep Dive into Astrology with Rose

Ep 8: Behind the "Trends": A Deep Dive into Astrology with Rose

Hello Soul Fam! I am so excited to share this episode with my amazing and inspirational friend Rose. In this episode she helps us to movepast the trendy pieces of astrology and really start to dive deep into how we can use this in a whole-istic way as a self-reflective system. Moving out of "I am the way I am because my sun is in Virgo" (thats me) and into "I understand there is a polarity to each sign. How can I chose the one that points to the high road?" and "How can I apply the patterns I recognize within the characteristics of this system to improve my way of being, the version of myself I share with the world and how I interpret and exist within and among the world around me?" Personally, I have learned a lot through my ongoing and intimate discussions with Rose. She has helped to guide me through releasing lower energetic versions of myself and striving for the side of light.

Rose pulls up mine, Jesse's and the podcast's natal charts and references them throughout this episode. This will give you a taste of her style for reading natal charts which you may want to keep in mind because at the end of this episode Rose has a very special giveaway she will share! The details about how to take advantage of this giveaway will be discussed as we get close to closing out the episode, but make sure to head to our instagram as well for more details. As always you can find the link in the show notes.

ABOUT ROSE

Rose gave her first Astrology reading in her teenage years to her childhood best friend. She had no real idea what she was talking about, but the pull towards her future passion was strong even in youth. Astrology followed her around like a forgotten puppy, wide-eyed and waiting for more attention.. Until the chaos of 2020, when she turned to the stars for guidance and found that many astrologers had predicted events similar to what the collective was experiencing.. long before we were experiencing them. It was then that the validity of the Self-Discovery System revealed itself to her and she began studying with the hopes to deepen her relationship with the cosmos to share what she's learned with others.

Ep 7: Holistic Skin Care Health: The Portal Into Self Discovery & Cyclical Living w/ Jessica Sailer

Ep 7: Holistic Skin Care Health: The Portal Into Self Discovery & Cyclical Living w/ Jessica Sailer

Heya beautiful beings!

We are oozing with joy to share this episode of WTT with you! Join guest Jessica Sailer and co-host M.K and I for a journey into self discovery through the lenses of holistic health. This is truly an empowering conversation if you are looking to go deeper into yourself and bring recognition to the patterns and cycles that make up our reality

On this episode of WTT we are honored to be joined by Jessica Sailer, owner of Function of Being, for a juicy conversation around holistic skincare and how when we connect to the largest organ in our body we become more in tune to our rhythms, patterns, and cycles

Jessica is a Licensed Esthetician and Functional Skin & Wellness Consultant who prioritizes restoring the function of mind, body, & beauty to harmonize and balance skin conditions with various modalities and philosophies. Skin care is so much more than trendy ingredients, products, fancy tools, beauty standards, and services. It is a practice of self-discovery & self-awareness

Jess reminds us to love and nurture our largest organ in the body that is highly intelligent and that we can view the skin through many different lenses when we are looking for treatment and healing on a deeper level. She encourages us not to compare ourselves and that no two treatment protocols are the same, making it important to practice discernment why purchasing products that do not target the individual

She uses her work as a vehicle into self-awareness and calls her work a “portal into self-discovery”. Her work is aligned with listening to the story the skin is telling you and that slow beauty begins within. Join us as we go into a journey of going within and honoring our cycles through simplistic skincare

Jessica sipped on Lilac, HoneySuckle and Schizandra berries. Jesse _ Plantain, Calendula, Sage, Rose & Reishi tincture. MK embraced  Burdock Root, Eleuthero Root, Green Tea, Licorice Root, Cleavers, Rose, Wood Betony & Tulsi

You can explore all of Jess’s beautiful offerings and connect with her below

As always, we lovingly encourage you to brew a cup of intentional tea and enjoy these magical moments of presence with us, embracing the wholeness of our being where we are

SHOW NOTES

We invite you to join us with an intentional cup of tea as you listen and continue this conversation in your corner of the world with those around you. Before you hop into this episode I want to give a fair warning that the sound quality is not the best this week but bare with us. This episode is filled with a lot of juicy info. Jesse Rose dives pretty deep into different ways we can recognize the characteristics of the planets reflected in different plants. She also guides us through the planetary correspondences for each day of the week, along with different practices you can put into place to connect with the energy of the planets in your daily life. I touch on the importance of working with our sensuality through the senses and share some practices to work with our center of sensuality— the Sacral Chakra. Which then threads into a conversation of working with all of the chakras and how beneficial this can be individually but also collectively, for the Whole of our Earth.. Don’t forget to check out our  instagram to join the conversation after you listen!

About Melanie

Melanie is a Community Herbalist, Certified Holistic Health Coach, and Flower Essence Practitioner.

Her official plant learning began 7 years ago in a life changing experience at Israel Herb School in the holy land where David beat Goliath. Melanie lived for 5 months in a refurbished chicken coop, with strangers, no internet, and surrounded by fields and hills of beautiful plants. She continued to study herbal medicine and spirit medicine from various teachers in Colorado, Connecticut, Costa Rica, and New York.

Melanie's travels have given her a broad base for understanding plants from different teacher perspectives, which all culminated in her founding Root 2 Rise Wellness to connect people of all ages to their roots, to nature, and healthy practices through conscious community.

Melanie draws from knowledge gained from her Health Coaching Certification at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and Flower Essence Training to get to the root of peoples health issues and offer solutions through education and 1:1 consultations through her gut revive program. She uses holistic modalities tapping into energy medicine, Ayurvedic practices, mind-body work, flower essences, plant medicine, supplement suggestions and teaches her clients how to tap into their body's wisdom to be their own healers.

Melanie attracts clients ready to work through issues and unhealthy patterns to feel well and lead vibrant lives. ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hey sweet souls, Jesse Rose here! Thank you for being here on this journey with us for episode 2! On this episode of What’s the Tea?, join us for conscious sips with our intentional cups of tea as we connect over practices that support grounding, slowing down, connecting to nature, and ourselves

MK shares some herbal allies she embraced for nervous system regulation, reminds us to bring back barefoot living, how to make herbal decoctions, how to create synchronicity logs to capture the patterns around you & so very much more! I share about the allies I called upon to ground & connect to the land I live on, practices to connect with the natural animate world, returning to primal-based movements, and I even share a ritual to create/use a medicine bag as a tool for healing! We give reverence to the allies from today's cups, Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), Burdock Root (Arctium lappa), Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale), Wood Betony (Betonica officinalis), Eleuthero Root (Eleutherococcus senticosus), Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), Mullein (Verbascum thapsus), Goldenrod (Solidago), Red Clover (Trifolium pratense), Rosehips (Rosa canina), Green tea (Camellia sinensis), Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum), & Oat tops (Avena sativa) The Medicine Wheel Oracle card was pulled during this episode, symbolizing a balance in connection with Earth and Spirit, equilibrium, and completeness. The message reflects to us that through honest self-assessment, we truly can determine the medicine we need to achieve well-being and access deeper states of healing, transformation connection with all that is We hope this episode roots you in grounded energy & supportive frequencies!

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

MK here!

We are so excited to have you join us as we begin this new journey in the world of podcasts!

On our first episode of What’s the Tea?, get to know Jesse and I as we introduce ourselves and our intentions for this podcast and dive into the herbs we intentionally chose for our tea and why, including some of the benefits we have experienced personally from using these herbs and other practices that can help move through fast paced, changing times with ease and grace. If you’re interested in slow, heart-centered, ritualistic living and connecting back to the Earth, yourself and all that surrounds us, yoga, astrology, mindful practices, health & wellness and more, What's the Tea? is the place for you!

Jesse’s experience and background with herbalism, health, yoga, anatomy, movement medicine and more has led her to sharing her passions through her business, Rooted Spirit, where she offers herbal medicines, teachings, holistic coaching and more. She shares about her connection to the natural world and herbalism stemming from her Indigenous roots while threading in the teachings of alchemical and energetic herbalism and heart centered living.

I began studying nutrition, which then led me to a more holistic way of living, turning inward and working with my mental health and heart-centered living guided by Earth based spirituality and communion with the plants and the land around us. I incorporate many angles of holistic health and well-being, spirituality and mindful practices into my business, Barefood&Barefoot, such as yoga, breathwork, meditation, nutrition, plant medicine, energetics of plants and more.

In this episode we touch on some of the benefits and uses of Nettle, Cleaver, Tulsi, Damiana, Linden flower, Linger, Lemon balm, Hawthorn and more for moving through difficult or challenging times in our fast-paced world when it seems nearly impossible to slow down, ground and have space to relax and care for ourselves. We discuss how plants work on our physical body but also on a deeper energetic level and the subtle, yet powerful ways they can transform our lives.

Jesse also wanted to mention she mispronounced an Indigenous tribe in Connecticut and wanted to humbly correct herself & give the tribe the proper recognition, the proper pronunciation of the Paugussett tribe is 'Pug-us-setts'
