Episode 6: Bradley's Story of a DNA Secret and How Families Are Impacted by Unexpected Genetic Discoveries
On Episode 6 of the When Family Hurts Podcast, Rebekah chats with friend and colleague, Bradley Hall, about his own unexpected DNA surprise.
They discuss what it feels like to make an NPE (not parent expected) discovery after taking an at-home DNA test, navigating confusing family dynamics, how this discovery impacts families and what to do if you're contacted by someone claiming to be a genetic relation. Other mental health themes also take a deep dive including identity disruption, empathy, forgiveness and trauma, living with a victim mentality and toxic family patterns.

Bradley Hall is a mentor, holistic transformational life coach, certified trauma recovery coach, certified mindfulness instructor, and spiritual advisor. Dr. Slade is a theological historian, systematician, and critical rationalist philosopher from Denver, Colorado.
