Howdy, it's been about 6 months since we last released anything so we decided to record a special triple album review of some of our favorite songwriters' 2020 albums. Then Ben finally got around to editing it. Pour a triple shot and join us.

Howdy! We take another swig from the discography of Margo Price this week, reviewing her third studio album That's How Rumors Get Started.  We really enjoyed the last album of hers we did. Will the trend continue?

Howdy! We go North of the border to check out Canadian horse enthusiast Corb Lund's tenth studio album, Agricultural Tragic. This is a mature album with incredibly clever lyrics. Should you drink whiskey or should you drink gin? You know our answer. 

Howdy! That Texas via New York Hardcore Troubador Steve Earle released his twentieth album earlier this year. Ghosts of West Virginia, essentially a concept album about a mining tragedy. Pour your best mountain liquor and give it a spin.

Howdy! Very few artists have lived the outlaw lifestyle any more than Jaime Wyatt. It is little wonder then, that on her second album Neon Cross, she turned to Shooter Jennings to produce. What will Ben & David think of this particular derivative of the outlaw sound? Belly up and find out. 

Howdy! Ben & David return to listen to the debut self-titled solo album by Tessa Lou Williams. It sits in that sweet spot of classic dance hall country.  Two-step over and give it a listen. 

Howdy, David and Ben spin one of the most anticipated albums of the year for fans of this genre of music. The seventh studio album by Jason Isbell, Reunions. Will this much-acclaimed singer/songwriter live up to expectations after a truly tremendous run of albums? Or should listeners "Be Afraid?" tune in and see!

Howdy, this week Ben & David listen to the debut solo album by Caitlin Cannon. It is a fun little album that takes the piss out of everything. Irreverent and fairly well played. Get you a double shot of Cannon and listen along. 

Howdy. Nothing too clever to say on this one folks, this is one of the best albums we have heard thus far. Pour a drink, sit down by a bonfire, and listen. This guy needs to be heard.

The duo unashamedly is drawing on the legacies of Willie, Waylon, and Merle on these two albums. The question is, can they make it work? Tune in, pour a drink, and find out.

This week we spin American Aquarium's eighth studio album, Lamentations. This North Carolina band is known for its Red Dirt sound. What will David & Ben think? Pour one and join in the fun. 

This week we look at the third studio album by the Night Sweats frontman, And It's Still Alright. What will Ben & David think of this St. Louis natives particular blend of country-folk? Pour one and tune in to find out. 

David & Ben are back with the second studio album of country-rockers, Hellbound Glory, Old Highs New Lows. An album filled with drug and drink references and the downsides of that lifestyle. What will they think? Tune in and drink up.

What's in an album cover? Well, if it is the debut album from Margo Price, Midwest Farmer's Daughter a lot. This album sounds, and looks, like something that could have come out in the 1980s and been at home alongside Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters. Grab a cold one and listen along.

In 2019 a masked man rode into the playlists of music fans with musical throwbacks. Who was that masked man? Well, frankly, we don't know but we do know that Orville Peck's debut album Pony made a lot of waves. so we decided to give it a go.

David & Ben have been talking about Brent Cobb's songwriting on a few different episodes to this week they decided to spin his debut album from 2006, No Place Left to Leave. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint. Pour a drink, and pull up a barstool and listen in. 

Do you miss 1980s Country music? If so you should listen to this album by Ward Davis. An accomplished songwriter who is somewhat difficult to find a lot of information about. But, what Ben and David do know is that this album has the best Conway Twitty song never done by Conway. Which one? Listen and find out.

This is a very sparse album with clever lyrics but our guys had a few issues with the pacing.
