006 - In this episode of The Whitefish Chain Experience, host Kent Carlson sits down with Doris Fraser affectionately known as "Dodo" a founding member of the Crosslake Area Historical Society. Today Dodo shares her story about growing up in Timothy Township (Swanburg, Minnesota) and completing her high school education in Pine River. We discuss her brief move to Michigan and the Twin Cities during WWII and her subsequent return to Crosslake and the Whitefish Chain community where she lives to this day. Dodo shares her thoughts on many changes observed over the years, e.g., growth of the faith community, infrastructure improvements (electric, plumbing, & asphalt roads), economic (real estate appreciation and the impacts to the lake resort business owners), insights about the Whitefish Chain community and much more.
