#009 - Make it painful to act any other way... w/ Fletcher Ellingson

This conversation with Fletcher was SO insightful!

Do you want to feel more gritty? Resourceful? Flexible? Competent?

Well..... did you believe in Santa as a child? If you did, it was because there was enough evidence that Santa was real. When you inevitably found out he isn't real, it was no doubt painful.

If you want to feel more gritty, odds are on a scale of 0% to 100% grit, you're not 0% gritty. That means that you've got some grit already in you!! IN THERE ALREADY! Well as you pay attention to the grit you already have, it grows. As you see your grit and grow your grit, you build EVIDENCE that you are gritty! BOOM! Well just like with Santa, because you have evidence you're gritty, it becomes painful to act any other way!

I'm inspired by Jack because he's put himself in a situation where he can spend more time with his sons. Jack has a great perspective on addiction, rebuilding his life, rebuilding his life, and growing a business.
