On Friday, May 5th, Dole Hall is open for drop-in portrait day! From 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m, these studio portrait sessions are available for faculty, students, and staff to have a professional portrait taken free of charge. Friday, May 5, 2023 7:30-8:30 PM | Music & Performance with Paul Rucker
An improvisational performance by nationally recognized multimedia artist Paul Rucker. Premiering a new performance featuring improvisational music and dialogue.
Rucker and local artists led by Museum Specialist Nate McClendon will interact with the audience to create music and perform spontaneously, breaking the traditional barrier separating performers and spectators.
The performance will run from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Mark A. Chapman theater in Nichols Hall.

On Wednesday April 26th the annual talent show will be live in the K-State Student Union. Registration is open until the day of the event and students can perform singing acts, spoken words, magic or comedy. The Grand prize for first place will be one thousand dollars, with second place getting eight hundred and third place getting 500 hundred. Participants must be a k-state student to enter and the performances will start at 6pm on Wednesday.

Groups of K-State students had 48 hours to create an original short story as part of a filmmaking competition. After turning in the short films, a panel of professional filmmakers judged the films based on a set criteria. Now, UPC is putting on an incredible red carpet-style premiere for everyone to watch! Prizes will be awarded in several categories including the Audience Choice Award! You won't want to miss the (lights, cameras, and) action!

ASU will be hosting The 2023 African Night where a celebration of food, dance, music, and entertainment in the format of a make-believe wedding party will take place. All K-State students have the opportunity to pitch a business idea, Shark Tank style, to receive feedback from a group of 3-4 panelists. UPC will be releasing 10,000 eggs on Bosco student plaza. You read that right, TEN THOUSAND EGGS. On Friday, Mar. 31 ALL DAY until 6pm you have the chance to hunt for prizes. 100 gold eggs contain slips to turn in from 6-8pm at Bosco Student Plaza on Friday, March 31st. In exchange for your egg and slip, you will receive a prize correlated with your egg number, which could range from a $5 to $50 value!
*NOTE: one gold egg per Valid K-State ID* there will be 9,900 other eggs full of candy and trinkets though, so feel free to hunt for as many of those as you'd like!

Immediately following the parade, join K-Staters for the spirit-filled pep rally at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in City Park! The KSU Pep Band, cheerleaders, Classy Cats and Willie the Wildcat will be on hand to rev the crowd for Saturday's football game.
