SermonCast - REBUILDING THE HOUSE OF THE LORD
SermonCast - REBUILDING THE HOUSE OF THE LORD (FROM THE BOOK OF HAGGAI – OT)
Haggai 1:2-4 (NKJV) 2 “Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.” ’ 3 Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your panelled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?”
We should prioritize God's purpose and projects over our personal plans.
The process of returning to the Lord and rebuilding the house of the Lord begins with repentance from sin, a renewed attitude toward his will and word, and resilience in our work for God.
SermonCast - GOD’S BUILDING PROJECT
SermonCast - GOD’S BUILDING PROJECT
God’s part is equipping & ensuring His temple-building project is accomplished. God gives results and rewards to those who participate in his temple-building project. Your part is your assigned purpose.
1 Corinthians 3:5-17 (NKJV) 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

SermonCast - WHO MAY ABIDE WITH THE LORD
SermonCast - WHO MAY ABIDE WITH THE LORD
Looking at the character, conduct and communication of those who may abide in the presence of the Lord. Worshippers visiting the temple likely asked these questions.
1. LORD, who may abide (sojourn, to dwell) in Your tabernacle (a special place of God)? – Psa. 15:1
2. Who may dwell (to stay) in Your holy hill (a place of God)? – Psa. 15:1
3. Who may ascend (to go up) into the hill of the Lord? - Psa. 24:3
4. Or who may stand (be upright) in His holy place? – Psa. 24:3
Living a holy life, which involves adhering to God's moral principles, is necessary to be considered worthy of standing in the presence of God and worshipping Him. The Bible states, "Pursue holiness, without which no one will see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14)

James 4:8 (NKJV) 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
In summary, to have access to God means to draw near to God and God will draw near to you.
To access God in a biblical sense means to be in His presence. Not having access to God is the absence of God’s presence in your life.
