Manifest & Release
On this episode I'm joined by rapper, health policy organizer, and the first ever guest on this podcast Akil Reynolds. We share special updates on what we've been up to, reflections of the last 9 months since episode 1 aired, stepping into creative ventures, full circle moments, and future aspirations for this podcast!
Pre Election Reflections
From Creative to Cultural Worker
On this episode we chat with organizer, artist, double gemini, and creator of the official With Love & Rage theme song, Nahuel. We discuss grieving processes during COVID, compensating our labor as artists, living at home with family during a pandemic, and what it looks like to love each other out loud.
A Love Letter To All The Anxious Bad Bitches
Intentionally Bridging The Gaps
On this episode we chat with climate justice organizer and dynamic content creator Nahomi Matos Rondón . We talk about the labor of love that is the @theb.ridge, sip moments (trademark pending), how love is weaponized, and framing climate justice as a question of quality of life.
How We Got Here
On this episode I’m joined by Boston based activist Akil Reynolds who currently works as a State Advocacy Manager for Community Catalyst: a health policy advocacy non-profit organization. In order to tell the story of how With Love & Rage came to be, it only felt right to tell this story with Akil who has been a part of every step on this journey. We unpack our firsts moments of politicization, white supremacy culture, the importance of uplifting platonic queer love, and how our current rage is pushing us to redefine our roles in this work. This episode was recorded on 06/16/2020.⠀
