We return with another installment of the Wonder Wednesday podcast with my boy Kriston being my guest speaker! We delve into a very somber topic surrounding the 18-year-old shooter from Uvalde, TX who shot and killed 19 children, 2 teachers and injured 17 others at Robb Elementary School on May 24, 2022. We then talk about the fluctuation of gas prices, the overall economy is affected by inflation of prices in grocery stores and other services and how we both are navigating this tumultuous time financially. The second half of the podcast is then dedicated to us giving our honest opinions about Kendrick Lamar’s latest album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” and how it compares to the rest of his musical discography.

Wonder Wednesday: Episode 63 - Travis Scott Astroworld Tragedy, Henry Ruggs III Situation, Still Over It, Apex S11 & Squid Game/On My Block S4
Sheesh it's been a while. What’s good everybody! I’m back from my 5 month long hiatus from the podcast. In this episode, I am joined with my little sister Chelsea as we discuss the Travis Scott Astroworld festival disaster that occurred this past Friday. Being a concertgoer myself, I felt it was amount to shed light on this situation. R.I.P to the 8 individuals that lost their lives at this event. Later, we talk about another unfortunate story involving former NFL player Henry Ruggs III who was in Las Vegas driving his vehicle when he accelerated at 156 mph and was twice the legal BAC in Nevada. This ended by tragically killing a 23-year-old woman and her dog when the car's fuel tank was ruptured and a fire had ignited. Then we get into music where we discuss albums from Young Thug, Summer Walker, Corbin (Spooky Black), and Adele just to name a few. Then we get into gaming mostly discussing the new Apex Legends Season 11 with Ash being the latest legend. In addition, I have been playing the new Demon Slayer game which was created by CyberConnect2 who are the same developers that brought was the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. We then top it off by talking about the impacts of Squid Game and how profound the show was.

Wonder Wednesday: Episode 62 - Mayweather v. Paul, Cicadas, WWDC 2021, New Lil Baby/Lil Durk & Loki
After a month's break, we are back with another episode! Today we discuss the Mayweather v Logan Paul fight that happened this past Sunday and the amount of revenue that both of them earned just from the Pay-Per-View payments to watch the boxing match live. We then talk about the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack, the Isreal and Palestine conflict, and how it is living with Cicadas since they only come out every 17 years from the ground. In Tech, we touch on the WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) hosted by Apple annually that occurred yesterday unveiling their new iOS 15 firmware updates, WatchOS 8, improvements to iPad and iMac. They showed off a slew of new features that are super innovative and will revolutionize the way their ecosystem of devices will work together. In music, we touch on J. Cole’s new album, Nicki Minaj’s mixtape album, and the unexpected Lil Durk & Lil Baby collaboration album. At the tail-end of the podcast, we talk about the anime and television shows were are watching such as The Chi, Parasyte, Fruits Basket, and the brand new Loki series that was released today. I know this is a long one but it is definitely worth it to listen till the end or in increments! We are back with the Wonder Wednesday podcast! Emmanuel joins me this week to discuss how my experience with the second dosage of the COVID-19 vaccine was and Emmanuel's thoughts as he percolates on getting it himself. We then speak about the recent Facebook and Donald Trump settlement that has now been postponed for another 6 months before a decision is made on Trump’s account after his posts around the January 6th Insurrection on the Capitol earlier this year. We then parlay into Dogecoin and the immense hype around getting this meme cryptocurrency to $1. We also branch into speaking about NFTs also known as “non-fungible tokens” and how people have bought and sold them for ridiculous amounts of money. Later on, we touch on some music topics such as the new Billie Eilish single “Your Power” which is the first song coming out of her set July 30th release date of her album “Happier than Ever.” Cordae also dropped a 4 pack of singles with a dope Young Thug feature that I enjoyed. In the tailed of the podcast, Emmanuel and I dig deep into the season finales of the adult anime Invincible and live-action virtual game show The Circle that had us at the edges of our seats. I am joined this week with my good brother Robert to discuss the horrific events that occurred in Atlanta, Georgia last night with the murder of 8 individuals with 6 of them being Asian women. We share our views on the importance of standing against Anti-Asian violence and how since the pandemic there have been over 3,700 incidents of hatred against Asian Americans to bring an end to the disrespectful hate. Later on, we cover the situations that have arisen involving David Dobrik’s vlog squad and the allegations that have recently surfaced. In the music portion, we talk about Drake’s 3 new song releases prior to his long-awaited Certified Loverboy album set to be released soon. Next, we cover some gaming news revolving around Apex Legends, DOOM: Eternal’s last DLC drop ever, and Persona 5. He discuss how states such as Mississppi and Texas are looking to lift mask mandates and allow public areas to operate at 100% capacity. Tevin also shares his recent experience of hitting a deer on the highway and how it still managed to flee the scene; leaving his friends car damaged. In music, we talk about Dusty Locane and his single hitting RapCaviar and the radio as well as Bobby Shmurda returning from prison. In the gaming portion, we touch on the brand new Valorant agent named Astra who is a new controller and her abilities are centered around celestial stars. Wonder Wednesday: Episode 57 - Anti-Asian Violence
In this episode of the podcast, I am joined by a fellow Penn State Alumni Tim Yep and we discuss the on-going fight for equality for Asian Americans with the recent uptick in violence in their community. Tim and I talk about how before the pandemic, Asian Americans have faced prejudice and racism. Allyship towards this movement is crucial to ending these horrific acts of hate. We discuss what ways our generation can be better patrons and examples for how we should address this issue and spread more awareness to end the violence.

May are disappointed in the result and we dive deep into discussing the tensions that this will bring and how the general public will react. We then pay our respects to Ruth Bader Ginsburg for her service as the Supreme Court Justice of the U.S. She has made great strides in bringing justice for women’s rights and has done a lot to ensure that underrepresented minorities were given a fair trial. Later on, we talk about the latest death toll from COVID-19 and to continue to do the protocols mandated by the CDC to ensure this does not surpass another 100,000 lives. Moreover, we speak about the Apple Event from last week unveiling the Apple Watch Series 6 and the iPad Air, iOS 14, and the PS5 event. Among Us has also gotten a bunch of publicity recently and we give our thoughts as to why an indie game released in 2018 has gotten so much praise.
