A gunslinger walks into a bar....
In this episode we dive into Stephen King's novel "The Gunslinger". The first book in his epic "The Dark Tower" saga. We are both massive Dark Tower fans and were chomping at the bit for the podcast to take its first foray into that universe.
"Spoiler Alert"! We discuss several plot points of "The Gunslinger" in our discussion and briefly touch on parts of some of the other books in the series. We tried not to reveal many spoilers in our discussion but if you have not yet read this wonderful book, but intend to, you may want to in the words of the story's protagonist (Roland) "Cry Off" and not listen to this episode until you've read "The Gunslinger". It's a marvelous book and well worth the time. I say thank ya.
Super Tecmo Bo!!
In this episode we dive into some of our favorite old school football video games --chiefly the classic Tecmo Bowl, its successor Tecmo Super Bowl and the sheer dominance of running back Bo Jackson in the game. Ready, down, hut, hut, hut!!
Hands, Heroes and Hossenphepper!
We dig into what made 80's action heroes so amazing and then reminisce about a Southern playground hoops legend and his massive mitts. We even get into our affinity for good beer, although today's choice did not fall into that category.
