Daniel and and his friends found themselves in a foreign land, and many of the teachings they were taught at home were threatened. But regardless of that, they remained standing, they stood for God and stayed true to what they had been taught.

The student who is far away finds themselves in that same situation, whereby they are in a different place to which they are not used to and the values and teachings they have been taught are threatened at every turn. Relationships and dating. This is something which is hardly spoken about at church but it's something most young people are exposed to.
Many of us have no idea what to do as Christians when it comes to relationships and dating and so we just follow the world's standards and ideals of dating.
However that's not the right way to go, as Christians we are supposed to do things differently, the right way, Christ's way. So how do we do that?
What should we be looking for in relationships and what are the standards that we should follow as Christians?

Most of us in life have friends or desire to have friendships at some point, after all we are social beings and it is a vital part of being human.
However this does not mean we should take lightly the choice of who our friends should be. As a matter of fact, the friends who you keep can be a blessing or a curse to you.
Rehoboam lost most of his kingdom because of his friends while David's life was spared because of his friend, so it's not just about having friends but it's about what kind of friends you have.

You can't know God's will if you don't know who God is, to know Him is to know His will. But it is useless to know God if you don't have a relationship with Him because if you don't have a relationship with Him then you won't want to do His will even if you know what it is.
