Globally, women earn 56% of all STEM-related university degrees, but hold only 26% of tech-related jobs. Līna and Liana return to contrast their experiences in sustainability and psychology, and to ask what on earth is going on with gender and STEM across our whole world.
S2E8: Sex work
Sex worker organizations and many European and global human rights groups have long since recognized the importance of decriminalizing sex work, but there’s only one country in Europe whose laws recognize what sex working people need. Emma and Louise meet activist and organizer Judith Aregger to explore why that is. Together they unpack some of the misogynistic myths that still surround sex work, and explain how the different legal regimes in European countries have such a huge impact on the quality of life on the many different people who are involved.
S2E7: Female pleasure
What's our problem with female pleasure? We've got more access to information about our bodies and sexuality than ever - but research suggests that there's still a big gap between how much sexual pleasure (cishetero-) women experience and how much everyone else gets. Louise and Emma ask what's missing in the tools and info we have available, and what can be done.
S2E6: A gender-lensed guide to STIs
Karīna, Ieva and Arta give us an updated picture of epidemiological STI data in Eastern Europe and take a look at whether your gender really influences your chances of being diagnosed with an STI - and why. They explain why it's important for a whole society's STI rates to make sure that comprehensive sexuality education meets the needs of boys and young men, and why sexual health service providers need to start caring less about our identities, and more about our behaviour.
S2E5: Keep it in the family?
Gender roles have an impact on every aspect of our lives, including our most intimate relationships. Līna and Liana unpack how we communicate gendered expectations to the people we're closest to, within our family, and in our quest for romantic happiness. Feminist activist and influencer Begaiym Zamirbek explains how cisnormative gender roles cause problems even for queer people trying to hook up with someone of the same gender, and the trio ask whether there's anything truly different between how gender roles in the family play out in Europe or in Central Asia.

What does it mean to be a virgin anyway, and who gets to decide? Why do we think we're losing something when we're gaining experience? And why is this a problem for anyone interested in freedom of gender expression? Amal and Līna take us on a myth-busting journey from Latvia to Pakistan, exploring these questions and asking us many more.
S2E3: Covid-19, care and education
Shkodran and Elionita are here to share some of what they learned during the Youth Voices, Youth Choices project about young people's access to sexual and reproductive health services and information under Covid-19 in five Balkan countries. They have many insights to discuss from their research about how care and education varied between city and rural areas, between genders - and most surprisingly of all, why being young and pregnant gave you the best chances during the worst of the pandemic.

Why are right-wing populist parties so concerned with gender expression? How is this connected with culture and religion? What can we do in the face of barriers to sexual and reproductive rights access in countries like Poland? Julia and Līna are here to explore some of the most challenging questions about the anti-gender movement today.

Бегайым рассказала о том, как она пришла к секс-позитивности и почему для нее важно говорить о сексе. Она отметила, что в первом сезоне своих подкастов они посвятили несколько эпизодов вопросам секса, для нее важно говорить о сексе с точки зрения феминизма т.к. секс – это та тема, где женщин больше всего дискриминируют. «Нас стыдят, если мы девственницы, или нас стыдят, если мы не девственницы. Нас стыдят, если мы любим секс, если мы не любим секс.» - отметила Бегайым. «Пожалуйста не стыдитесь своего тела и изучите его, я надеюсь, что благодаря таким подкастам нас перестанут стыдить и насиловать».
