"How do we live in our values?" I Episode 4

Recently YWCA St. Paul CEO Gaye Adams Massey met with McKnight Foundation President Tonya Allen to talk about how, with the creation of a new alliance, Groundbreak Coalition, we live our values to become the greatest impact as a change makers. According to Allen, this crisis of racial and economic injustice, especially in our region, has been bubbling way before George Floyd, but she asks “what are we going to do about it? How can we do more, how can we do bigger?”

Listen to Episode 4 of Herstory with YWCA to find out what Allen thinks it would look like if, together, we listened to our communities’ dreams, and then supported them by moving from just talking about them to actually doing something. Allen is on to something, and is organizing the capital to make these changes, and she believes, as her grandmother always told her, “None of us is as smart as all of us.”
